THIS WEEK’S READINGS Naaman, a foreigner, returns to Elisha and promises to worship God exclusively after he is cured of his leprosy. Another foreigner, a Samaritan, is the only one of ten lepers who return to thank Jesus after being cured. Physically and socially, their lives have been completely transformed and their immediate response is to return and give thanks. As we listen to today’s readings, let us consider how God has blessed us, so we can sincerely respond, “Thanks be to God.” QUESTION OF THE WEEK Do I receive the Lord in gratitude, here at Mass and at other times in my life? How can I change my attitude, to see what I have as blessings from God?

YOUTH GROUP BAKE SALE THIS WEEKEND AFTER ALL MASSES

Please stop by for some home-made goodies & help support the youth of the

parish who will be traveling to Washington D. C in January to show

support for the sanctity of life.

IN YOUR KINDNESS AND PRAYERS, please remember the family of Larry Ward, brother of

Donna Laramore & Lucy ‘Belle’ Ward of our parish, Sister, Ann of Georgia, Christopher of DeSoto &

Robert of Lake of the Ozarks, who was laid to rest this past week.

By belonging to Jesus, we are no longer in the shackles of sin but are free to love in an authentic way. But because of our pride and selfishness, this isn’t always easy. That’s why we have the Body of Christ. By belonging to one another, we become instruments of grace for each other and share testimony to the value of a relationship with Jesus.

November 1 Holy Day Mass Online for the Homebound Is someone you love unable to join us at church for the November 1 Holy Day Mass in celebration of All Saints Day? Please invite anyone you know who cannot get out to church to experience the spiritual comfort of this joy-filled Catholic Mass. Online video will be available at www.HeartoftheNation.org all day. (For those who can attend at church, the online liturgy will not fulfill the Holy Day Mass obligation.)

Dynamic Catholic, Alive! – Gratitude Sometimes life actually does get better! And when it does, we may feel great relief—for just a while. Then the “better” becomes the “new normal” and we actually forget to express our gratitude to God for our blessings. It’s so easy to forget, but we have many ways to remember—we can take time for adoration of God, for talking to God through prayer, and for intentional self-sacrifice that expresses our thankfulness and praise. Forget not all God’s blessings! (CCC 2095-2100) archstl.org/dynamic
