REHAU supplies the entire Know-how package for producing high-quality fronts from one source. The RAUVISIO crystal glass laminate has a multi-layer composition and a material thickness of 2.5 mm.

The material thickness of the balancing sheet is matched to the overall design. The material thickness of the wooden substrate is selected depending on the respective application, for example fronts, splashbacks, furniture end panels.

All components: the surface, bonding adhesive, wooden substrate, balancing sheet as well as the matching laser edgeband have been matched to each other and tested. REHAU supplies the pressed board for processing high-quality glass effect fronts and splashbacks.

RAUVISIO crystal is supplied as a pressed board, consisting of the glass laminate, MDF board and balancing sheet in matching colour. The material thickness of the wooden substrate is selected depending on the respective application.

You can choose the matching edgebands for your front design for the pressed RAUVISIO crystal boards from the REHAU Express Collection. Whether you need a standard edgeband or a laser compatible edgeband – all edgebands are available from stock.

The pressed board is supplied in either a

16 mm (11 mm MDF) or 19 mm (14 mm

MDF) board thickness.

The edging of narrow surfaces was previously only possible using hot-melt adhesives. New machine technologies today have allowed a completely adhe-sive free bond to be created. By using laser, hot air or plasma processing, a permanent, invisible joint can be achieved.

Until recently, an unsightly glue line, caused by rubbing out, yellowing or simple dirt build up, would have had a negative impact on the overall finish of a product, technology has thankfully moved on. This high end solution seamlessly integrates board and edgeband to give a flawless finish.

By eradicating the need for glue, the innovative laser edgeband application process creates a permanent, jointless bond and at the same time optimises the production process.

Gloss finish even on the milled radius:As a result of new processing technologies, a gloss finish is achievable along the entire milled edge with RAUVISIO brilliant. The optimum combination of invisible joint and edgeband in a quality that can be polished, as well as processing with a duo scraper and polishing unit creates a perfect gloss finish across the entire furniture front.
