Journey To TATA GroupFirst child of Naval and Soonoo Tata. (1937)Parents divorced in mid 40’s when he was 7.Studied in Campion school, MumbaiStudied Architecture and structural engineering

Ratan Tata’s Career Moved to Empress Mills in 1977, a struggling textile

mill within the Tata Group. Ratan was named director of Tata Industries (1981).Appointed chairman of TATA group in 1991.Initiated project Indica which was launched in 1998.Under the chairmanship of Ratan Tata, Tata Sons

successfully acquired Corus Group. (2007)Under Ratan Tata, Tata Motors bought Jaguar &
