    Managerial Usefulness of Study

For a fresher like me, in a big organization like Sofcon India Pvt. Ltd. provided me an

experience of the real working atmosphere. It enhanced my horizons about how the members of

the organization work as a team, coordination with each other, and their interdependence oneach other. I became aware of the synergy effect i.e. how different members in different profiles

    produce greater results with coordination.

    The usefulness of study:

In depth knowledge of companys working.

Familiar atmosphere of company motivates the researchers.

    Knowledge of companys policies.

Motivation to work as a team member to get aware of current position of the company.

    Synergy effect.

It helps to understand how to tackle work pressure and meet dead lines.

    Time utilization.

    Wealth maximization.

Knowledge of companys decision to solve the problem.

    METHODOLOGY

    Research Methodology

Research in a layman language means a search for acknowledges. One can also define research

as a scientific and systematic search for potential information on a specific topic. In fact,

Research is an art of scientific investigation. The dictionary meaning of Research is a careful

investigation or inquiry especially through search for new facts in any branch of knowledge.

Redman and Mory define Research as a systematized effort to gain new knowledge. Some

authors consider research as a movement from known to unknown.

Research is an academic activity and as such the term must be used in a technical sense.

Research is an original contribution to the existing stock of knowledge making for its

advancement. It is the pursuit of truth with the help of study, observation, and experiment.

The systematic approach is concerning generalization and formulation of theory. The purpose of

Research is to discover the answers to questions, solutions to problems through the application

of systematic procedure. The main aim of Research is to find out the truth that has been not

    discovered.

    Research Design:-

The Research problem has been formulated in clear-cut terms; the Researcher will require

preparing a Research design i.e. he will have to state the conceptual structure with in which

Research would conduct. The preparation of such a design facilitates Research to be as an

efficient as possible yielding maximal information.

Research design may group in four categories:-

    1. Exploration,

    2. Description,

    3. Diagnosis,

    4. Experimentation.

    Descriptive design:-

Descriptive Research studies are those studies, which are concerned with describing the

characteristics of a particular individual, or a group. Studies concerned with specific prediction,

with narration of facts and characteristics concerning individual, group, or situation are all

examples of descriptive Research studies. In a descriptive study, the first step is to specify the

    relevant.

  • 7/27/2019 Rat n Aditya

    40/41

The design must be rigid and not flexible and must focus attention on the following:

    1. Formulating the objective of study,

    2. Designing the methods of data collection,

    3. Selecting the sample,

    4. Collecting the data,

    5. Processing and analyzing the data,

    6. Report the findings.

    Collection of Data

The task of data collection begins after a Research problem has been defined and Research

design/plan checked out. The collection of data is done to support your findings and interpret

the result whether the result have found is according to your hypothesis or not. The data can be

collected by various methods. These are broadly classified into two ways, as follows:

    o Primary data,

    o Secondary data.

    Primary data:-

Primary data are those, which are collected as fresh and for the first time and thus happen to be

original in character. We collect primary data during the course of doing experiments in an

experimental Primary research. It is the first hand Primary data and no one else has collectedthis before. There is various ways of collecting primary data, they are as follows:

    1. Observation method,

    2. Interview method,

    3. Questionnaires,

    4. Schedules,

    5. Other method.

    Secondary data: -

Secondary data means the data, which is already available i.e., it refers to the data, which has

already been collected and analyzed by someone else. When the researcher utilizes the

secondary data, then he has to look into various sources form where he can obtain it. In this

  • 7/27/2019 Rat n Aditya

    41/41

case, he is not confirmed with the problem that is usually associated with collection of original

    data.

    1. Annual report,

    2. Books,

    3. Management Information System (MIS),

    4. Other material and report published by company.
