TENSION (according to LOUIS VISSCHER)
- At the one hand: an ambitious international joint master programme
- At the other hand: differences in national legislation
The differences in national legislation still are there, despite all declarations (Bologna, Lisbon, Bergen, etc.) ….

PROBLEMS
DIFFERENCES AMONG COUNTRIES:(introduction ba-ma? if so: 3+1, 4+1, 3+2?,job qualifying? differences in procedures
regarding application and selection, fees) Different language skills, accreditation and
recognition diploma / degree, joint degrees? different requirements…for example the number of ECTS credits for a thesis etc.

OTHER ASPECTS:
• Ba/ma system stimulus for internationalization / mobility (students and teachers)
• Interaction between teaching and research is important• More transparency and comparability regarding:- Quality of the programme- Degrees / recognition• Joint study programmes, although joint degrees still are
not recognized…• Recognition of joint degrees on the EU level is necessary• Mutual recognition of accreditation decisions is needed,
