At 3.700 km off the South American continent and surrounded by the clearest, deepest waters on the planet, Easter Island (also known as Rapa Nui) has been the cradle of a unique and enigmatic culture that continues to endure today. The island’s language, music, and numerous traditions are kept alive by the island’s inhabitants, while the enormous carved stone Moai are testimony to their mysterious past. The Rapa Nui culture has evolved to the present day keeping many of its original forms, those expressed in foods, sports, dances, music, ceremonies, crafts, and most importantly the language Vananga, which is still actively used. The dances, like Sau-Sau and Tamuré, together with the traditional music, continue to add color to festivals and ceremonies. The gastronomy is a repository of ancient recipes like Tunuahi, in which �ish is cooked over volcanic rocks heated by �irewood. For its remoteness, geographical beauty, and rich culture, Rapa Nui was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1995. Your stay in Easter Island can range anywhere from 3 to up to 5 nights, and each day you have a choice of either two half-day or one full-day activity around the island. The activities available each day vary by the property you choose to stay at, however most properties offer similar activities that are entirely �lexible to your physical abilities and travel style.

Surrounded by the intense blue sea and under the watch of its gigantic Moai, Easter Island is a place that contains mysteries that are waiting to be revealed by explorers. With over 20 explorations available around the islands, guests can explore the mysteries of Rapa Nui either on foot, bike riding, or by a boat, led by the most professional, knowledgeable and friendly guides on the islands.

The daily explorations have different lengths and levels of dif�iculty. Full day explorations give you the privilege of having lunch at the seaside or at beach, while those that take half a day allow you to return to the hotel for lunch, and choose a second exploration for the afternoon.

Transfer from your hotel to Airport for your �light back to Santiago Airport. Depending of the time your �light leaves, you will have breakfast and possibly lunch at your hotel before departing.

DAY 5

Each day you will have the option of combining two half day excursions or doing just one full day excursion around the island. The hotels in Easter Island offer over 20 activities of different physical levels. In general, all have strong cultural and archaeological overtones, and are led by an expert bilingual local guide.

All of our guides speak �luent Spanish and English and are very knowledgeable about the Island’s natural surroundings, its history and its people. Every evening, your guide will meet with you to program the following day’s activities based on your interests and physical abilities. Explorations are carried out in groups of no more than 8 people.
