Deadly Cliff

For those who do not know, Free Writing is a technique writers use to simply... Express themselves. Free Writing does not require any order, thought, short or long length, or any critical aspects to make a story. It can be bloody nonsense for all we care, it just serves as a way to relax. What you are writing can be about anything, no matter what it is. This is known for being highly effective to overcome writers block, or simply enjoy yourself. I do it for all the previous reasons mentioned. And you know, it can actually help you craft a new story that was originally just something spawned from Free Writing. So, enjoy random shit from yours truly. Just don't expect it to be anything critically enjoyable. >_>

"Well this is a bitch and a half, eh team?" Relinquish said while overlooking the vast land in front of him from the rock cliff of the mountain him, and the rest of his fellow Jaegers were standing upon.

Esdeath had sent all of the Jaegers, excluding herself, off on a mission to extract a rare crystal that can be crafted into a lovely watch for her love, Tatsumi. Who is currently being held under guard at the Jaegers base...

Run stepped towards the edge of the cliff, judging how far down the fall wasto the ground. "We've reached an impasse."

"Really?" Relinquish rhetorically questioned his fellow Jaeger. "Hadn't noticed. Now then, how are we going to get down here...?"

Seryu bended down beside Run, looking down towards the cliff just as he did as Koro rested on her shoulder. "I have a grappling hook."

"Unless Doc gave you wings that's not gonna work, dear..." Relinquish took a moment to look towards Dr. Stylish as he was standing next to Bols. "... Did you actually do that?"

The doctor sighed, and spoke in disappointed tone. "I've been working on prototypes, but they simply weren't stylish enough for my standards."

Seryu placed a hand on the doctors shoulder, attemping to comfort him. "Its okay doctor, I'm sure you'll make it someday!"

Wave Relinquish & Run sighed with indifference.

Relinquish crossed his arms, walking back and forth by the edge of the cliff before speaking, despite Bols request for him to stop in the fear of him falling. "Come on, team." Relinquish began. "We're the Jaegers, are we really gonna be stopped by some cliff? And if we don't get this done boss is gonna have our asses on a silver platter, and feed em to little rookie for dinner! I'm sure we can do this, we just gotta... You know, think."

Run raised a hand in order to gain the attention of the others. "I propose we analyze everyone's flight capabilities. That should let us know who will haveany trouble making it down the cliff."

"Good thinking, Blondie." Relinquish applauded Run's plan. "So... Sailor, you got anyway to get down?"

Wave placed his hand on his sword before answering. "Grand Chariot can probably take the fall, but it depends on how far down it is.... Hey." Wave noticed a decently sized rock next to his foot, big enough to fill the palm of his hand, picking it up, and walking towards the edge of the cliff with Run and Relinquish. "...Why don't we use this rock test it?"

Relinquish gasped in amazement. "Holy crap, Wave, that's actuallya good idea... And you're you!"

"... What's that supposed to mean?" Wave questioned wish suspicion masking his tone.

"Oh, I'm quite sure we both know what that means. Now gather rounds, folks, gather round!" Relinquish waved down the remaining Jaegers towards the edge of the cliff with him, Wave, and Run. Soon all 7 of them, Relinquish, Wave, Run, Dr. Stylish, Bols, Kurome, and Seryu were standing beside each other, ears ready to listen to the sound the rock would make as Wave held it over the cliff.

"Okay." Wave began. "One... Two... Three!" The rock feel from hishand, into the foggy abyss.

There was silence.

.....

.....

.....

.....

The rock still had not hit the ground, a bead of sweat had come down the side of Wave's forehead, in awe of the rock still not making a single sound, indicating it did not hit the ground yet.

Relinquish soon broke the silence after twenty five seconds. "... Yeah, Wave is dead."

Relinquish & Kurome placed a hand on Wave's shoulders, faintly comforting him as he was jaw dropped, the Jaegers still heard no sound whatsoever from that rock.

Wave: How far is this drop?! O.o

Relinquish: Jesus Christ, jumping in there is like being an ODST or something. O.o

Wave: What? :o

Relinquish: Oh, nothing. Just a Halo reference. =.=
