RANDALL REINVENTED THRASHER SERIES

From the moment I plugged into the first hand wired head that Mike Fortin had sent me, I knew he was the new amp guru for Randall. The focused, tight sound was so amazingly transparent for having so much gain and the transients were lighting fast- like nothing I had ever heard… and I’ve heard them all.

That was 2 years ago. After that experience, Randall entered into a partnership with Mike to reinvent Randall Amplifiers to be the undisputed master of high gain.

A few months later we found ourselves at Metallica Headquartersshowing Kirk Hammett a new Signature prototype of which 5 units now reside in his live and studio rigs. Then came months upon months of design, endless listening, ever challenging ourselves to “how can we make this better”, a few hundred thousand of air miles, too much solder to melt, 2-3 hits of plate voltage, some burnt fingers and a lot of Scotch lands us here.

It’s now NAMM 2013 and we are launching an entirely new offering of products that all embody a distinct sonic signature that delivers the highest performance available to the discerning metal player. From the brutal attack of the Thrasher Stack to the screaming little 1watt Diavlo Combo, Randall is taking high gain to the highest level.

The new RG Series returns to the original high performance FET circuits that Don Randall founded the company on and became the sound and back line for so many influential artists in Randall’s 40 plus year history.Utilizing the basis of the infamous RG100 and RG80 designs then adding modern improvements and features have now allowed us to again offer solid state transistor amplifiers that are solid state done right for sonic performance not price.

Is it a Pedal? Is it an amp? Can it fly? Yes on all three! Introducing the RG13 Pedal-Amplifier (ready for fly-in gigs), It does it all so you can have your sound anywhere through anything. Put it through your 4x12 and be blown away at what 1 watt can do or get a matching RG8 8” extension cab to practice at home. Use it as a gain/distortion/tone/boost pedal in front of your amp -or– Plug it into the FX return of any amp and listen to it take over and free you from that crappy back line tone! The XLR speaker emulated output is great for recording or sending signal to the PA/Front of House. The loop is switchable with a level control and can switch to be a output level boost/cut to control your level in the mix. All of this in a heavy duty metal enclosure with external power supply and external 9v power for pedals right on the unit!RG13 can be the solution and center piece of your rig for all settings.
