Ramblings Murrieta Mesa High School
Dear Ram students and parents,
Staff and students take our Ram PRIDE to heart at Mesa. We are focusing on Purpose and Duty by serving the community through the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure and the Mesa third Annual ―Share the Harvest‖ Feast for the needy. We hope you join us on Sunday for the Race in support Breast Cancer fighters and survivors.
On November 19th, we will host our third ―Share the Harvest‖ Feast for those in need. Mesa's goal is to feed 1600 people and provide the families with food baskets to take home for the Thanksgiving Holiday. From the ―Share the Harvest‖ event, Mesa staff, classes, clubs and groups will adopt families for the holidays for the third year and provide needed items and pre-sents for the children. We are having a school-wide food drive competition in second period classes. If you would like to donate food items, please have your student take those items to their 2nd period class. If you are interested in helping with the feast, contact Mike Stowe at [email protected].
Lastly, we would appreciate parent support in ensuring all students have needed items when they come to school daily. Our receptionist and office staff receive hundreds of items daily that need to be given to students. The office staff will not interrupt the classroom and instruction to call students to the office to accept deliveries. Also, we would appreciate parent support in cur-tailing the delivery of fast food items. We understand there are special occasions and emergen-cies, but the office has been inundated with deliveries. We appreciate your cooperation and support!

The Pink Ribbon Club will be hosting
an all you can eat pancake breakfast
on October 19th in the Rams Den.
Breakfast includes all you can eat pan-
cakes, bacon and orange juice. Tickets prices
$5 pre sale and $7 at the door. Tickets can be
purchased from the Ram Shack, Library or
any PRC member on campus.
Skateboarders We strongly encourage students to lock up their skateboards on the board rack behind the Ram’s Den. Many teachers and other staff are complaining that they are becom-ing a distraction in classroom. Bring a lock, combo or key, and lock it in. If you need a “loner lock” for the day, come to student services. The goal is to have every board locked up during the school day by the winter break. Thanks for your cooperation in achieving this goal!
Clearing Tardies If your child has outstanding tardies that need to be cleared, please en-courage them to serve in our before and/or after school detention pro-gram. Students with unserved disci-pline will be placed on the “No-Go” list. Students will not be able to at-tend extra-curricular activities or stu-dent functions without serving these detentions. Contact Student Services if you feel we can assist you with this process.
The holidays are right around the cor-

joining forces with Interact and hosting a MMHS

ceive a Breakfast compliments of USB. Please en-
courage your student to participate by donating …
items most needed are green beans, yams, cranberries,
mashed potatoes, and other traditional Thanksgiving
foods. FYI frozen turkeys count for 10 points. Stu-
dent Senate will be delivering boxes to the classrooms
for the food collection and will gather cans weekly.
Mesa’s goal is to feed 1600 people on Nov. 19th.
