Hello, Giinagay, Hai,

Thanks to all the parents who came along for the Parent

Teacher interviews. Great positive feedback was exchanged

between staff and families.

Recently Bu Bibi and Pak Karl were successful in each being

awarded a $1,000.00 travel scholarship to attend the Jakarta

Study Program, a three day professional study program

funded through the Asia Education Foundation (AEF).

The Jakarta Study Program aims to provide teachers from

Australian BRIDGE (Building Relations through Intercultural

Dialogue and Growing Engagement) schools with the

opportunity to build knowledge and understanding of

Indonesia through visits to key cultural sites. Briefings by in-

country experts, enable educators to visit partner schools to

further develop their capacity to implement the Australian

Curriculum’s cross-curriculum priority of Asia and Australia’s

engagement with Asia across learning areas.

The purpose of the visit is an innovative education project to

support the development of schools e-twinning and an online

collaborative curriculum strategy between Australian and

Indonesian schools. Our new sister school is in Jakarta and Bu

Bibi and Pak Karl will visit and begin our sister school

exchange relationship.

We wish them a great trip and huge appreciation for the time

and energy they will be putting in during their own time, during

the school holidays.

Wheelchair Basketball

Thanks to Jason and Robbie for bringing the wheelchairs for

the senior students to have opportunity to experience

wheelchair basketball. A great experience for all.

Lawn Bowls

As part of Sporting Schools, over the next couple of terms

students will be able to participate in an engaging format of

Lawn Bowls called Jr Jack Attack (JJA), which is both fun and

diverse. It will be conducted on a range of surfaces, including

the local greens down at Club Scotts. JJA caters for both boys

and girls and is an appropriate sport for all abilities and

provides opportunities for further support through the local

club.

Our end of term assembly will be held tomorrow where awards

will be given out as well as the athletics medals. Please take

this opportunity to celebrate our students success.

I hope everyone gets a chance to have a relaxing time in the

coming holidays. See you back on Monday 15 October for our

final term of the year.

A note will go home early next term with more details. All payments are due by Friday

19 October 2018 which is Term 4 Week 1. Don’t forget payments can be made via our

End of Term Assembly

The end of term assembly will be held on Wednesday 26 September at 2.00pm.

Athletic medals will be presented at this assembly.

Lost and Found

Can parents please check your children’s jumpers and return any that do not belong to

you. We have families with jumpers missing that have names clearly on them.

If you have any missing items

please come to the office and

check the lost property before the

end of term.

Term 4 Canteen Roster We are at present working on our Canteen roster for term 4

and are seeking volunteers to lend a helping hand. Currently we do not have enough

helpers for our canteen to function properly, so if you could spare a few hours 1 or 2

days a term that would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to help, please contact

via email (above) or leave a message with your contact details at the office so that your

interest can be passed on to Katie or Mel who are

Last Friday we had some boys and

girls from Eungai come and show us

their fabulous skipping skills. They

did all sorts of amazing stuff like

d o u b l e d u t c h , a w e s o m e

synchronised routines and even

skipping with pogo sticks! It was a

fabulous show!
