Introduction

This summary shows the main routes on which journeys are disrupted or amended for the dates shown above. Alterations may affect other areas and passengers are advised to check journey times with National Rail Enquiries before travelling, via 08457 48 49 50 or www.nationalrail.co.uk. Replacement buses are unable to carry bicycles or non-folding prams, and may depart early to maintain connections. For further information regarding Cross-London Connections go to www.tfl.gov.uk.

All Services via Banbury Due to a landslip the line between Banbury and Leamington Spa is currently closed, with buses replacing trains between those two stations. Amended rail timetables will apply either side of the blockade; affecting services between London Marylebone-Stratford upon Avon/Birmingham operated by Chiltern Railways, and South Coast/Guildford/Reading-Birmingham-The North services operated by Cross Country. Journey times will be extended and tickets will be valid on some alternative routes. Passengers must check the amended timetables before travelling: www.nationalrail.co.uk/service_disruptions/today.aspx http://chilternrailways.co.uk/landslipleamington http://www.crosscountrytrains.co.uk/travel-updates/all-travel-updates On 4/3/15 Network Rail announced that this route is expected to re-open to passenger traffic on Friday 13th March… www.networkrailmediacentre.co.uk/News-Releases/Railway-between-Leamington-Spa-and-Banbury-to-reopen-three-weeks-ahead-of-schedule-22ae.aspx Though the re-opening date is prior to the start of this notice the above information is included just in case of any late change.
