Legacy Design

VORTOK Rail Clamp

By increasing the clamping force the reduction of rail creep due to temperature change is immediately improved which coupled with improving the vertical deflection allows higher line speeds over the joint. The self-supporting profile of the clamp aids the installation process; the clamp self-aligns on to the fishplate due to the locking of the two clamp profiles under the rail. This makes it far easier for one man to install the clamps reducing the installation time to less than 2 minutes per clamp.

The horizontal clamping action eliminates the possibility of bending the clamping bolts which is a common problem on other legacy/traditional type temporary rail joint clamps currently on the market. VORTOK Rail Clamps bolts can also be reused, unlike current designs.
