SECTOR FOCUS Our focus is on freight transport including ports, airports and terminals

with a particular interest in rail.

GEOGRAPHICAL FOCUS We are a British company with an initial focus on the domestic market.

The group intends to leverage its skills and experience to export to

emerging markets such as India and Africa in due course.

PARTICIPATING BUSINESSES Elara Capital is a full service investment bank, with headquarters in

London and teams operating out of London, New York, Singapore, Dubai,

Mumbai and Delhi. The scope of its services includes: M&A and Private

Equity Advisory Practice, Broking Services and Asset Management. Elara is

authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in

United Kingdom and registered as a Category A investment bank.

Albany Rail has been set up by Graham Smith to provide advice on rail,

freight and transport issues.

R&I Consulting provides advice on engineering, planning, strategy and

management issues in the transport sector.

DIRECTORS

Graham Smith has participated in the transformation of Britain’s

railways over the last 35 years. He has considerable experience of

national and international freight, passenger, strategic, political and

financial matters in the rail industry and was a key member of the

Government’s recent review of the efficiency of the British rail

system. He was appointed an MBE for services to the rail freight

industry.

Sanjay Jamuar was Director Freight at the Ministry of Railways in

India and has managed frontline operations as Area Manager, with

responsibility for transportation of coal, aggregates, steel and other

commodities. Sanjay has worked at Network Rail in the UK and has

and developed the business case for high speed rail and European

Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS). After setting up R&I

Consulting, Sanjay has advised both Network Rail and London

Underground at Board levels and is working on a DfT project.
