Roles and Responsibilities

1. As a team member in Legacy Manual Test team for Interface Testing.

To develop the business domain knowledge of the logistic industry. To develop an understanding of the legacy applications and it’s working through the KT

sessions with the clients. To develop an understanding of the use of interfaces, the reason for the implementation of

interfaces, and the data that are flowing through the interfaces.

To test the interfaces those are indentified during the requirement gathering phase. To support the IT/SIT test team, regression test team, and vanilla and incident test team for the

interface testing. Testing of the middleware platform between SAP and legacy application. To raise defects for the issues identified during the test phase. To attend the daily triage call and discuss the defects with the development team. To test the xml and flat files. To prepare the daily status report and publish the same. To interact with Onsite Team for the daily test status. Attending weekly status calls with the clients to report the weekly progress in testing.

2. As a team member in SAP Manual Test team.

To develop an understanding of the new functionality/requirements of the system those are identified during the requirement gathering phase with the help of the specification documents published by the development team.

To complete the FUT testing of the new requirements. To complete the test case writing of the new requirements. To completely take the ownership of the requirements assigned and ensure the end to end test

execution for all the scenarios covered under the requirement with the help of the team members.

To execute the test cases of the requirements in the IT/SIT test phase, vanilla test phase, regression test phase which also included form testing.

To raise defects for the issues identified during the test phase. To attend the daily triage call and discuss the defects with the development team. To highlight the major and critical issues during the testing phase to the senior management to

avoid any delays in testing.

3. As a team member in SAP Automation Test team.

To develop an understanding of the new functionality of the system through the specification documents published by the functional team.

To develop test scripts using the automation test tool based on the specification documents received from the functional team.

To fix any issues identified in the test scripts during the daily night execution. To develop test scripts for SAP, web and forms. To raise DMs in SAP SM for any functional issue identified during the daily night execution.
