This phase shifter is ideal for relay testing in situations where current, voltage and phase angle must be varied

independently.

RAGNAR extends the application range of Programma's popular relay testing units SVERKER 750 and

SVERKER 650. When RAGNAR is used with either of these, you can test both directional overcurrent protections

and impedance protections.

The relay testing unit's variable current passes through RAGNAR, where it provides an accurate voltage phase-

angle reference. The voltage can then be varied up to 105 V, and the phase angle can be varied from 0° to 360°.

You set the voltage and phase angle easily using two dials on RAGNAR, and your settings appear instantly on

built-in displays in large easy-to-read numbers. The current is controlled from the relay testing unit.

What's more, since you can use voltage as a reference instead of current, you can use RAGNAR alone or

together with some other relay testing unit.

RAGNAR, like SVERKER 750 and SVERKER 650, features rugged design and construction.

1. Connect the Phase Shifter RAGNAR to the Relay Testing Unit SVERKER and to the protective relay.

2. Set the voltage to a low value by turning RAGNAR's voltage dial.3. Set the current obtained from SVERKER to a low value.4. Set the phase angle roughly using the + and - buttons.5. Start the test. Vary the voltage and phase angle using the two
