Dear Parents and Members of the School Community, By now you will have all received the letter I sent on Thursday 30 May informing you that I have been offered the Associate Principal position at Swan View Senior High School, and have accepted the position and the professional challenges that accompany the role. My final day at East Narrogin Primary School will be this Friday 15 May and I will commence at Swan View Senior High School on Monday 18 May. Kim Guelfi, our Regional Executive Director, has been co-ordinating a replacement. Kim will liaise with our School Board Chair, Ms Gemma Ward, throughout the process. A replacement for the remainder of Term 2 has been finalised and I am thrilled to inform you that Joanna Hayes will be Acting Principal for the remainder of Term 2. During this time, a formal process will be run and a suitable applicant sought for the remainder of the 2015 school year. Gemma Ward will provide further details of the process if requested and Jo will keep you well informed via our fortnightly newsletter. The tightknit nature of the Administration team means Jo, Johan are I have always communicated in a most open manner and the implementation of change has been agreed, therefore, continuing to progress will not be of concern. I feel extremely privileged to have been associated with East Narrogin Primary School for the past 10 months and sincerely thank you all for the tremendous support I have been shown during my reign as Principal. I am confident the Review process taking place during Term 3 will further strengthen the student centred culture that exists and a positive path will continue to be paved for East Narrogin Primary School. I wish to sign off with a quote my Auntie Lorna sent me in one of her recent monthly letters, which I always thoroughly enjoy receiving. "Don't strive to make your presence noticed, just your absence felt." I hope my influence on the school has been positive and this quote may be something you will consider to be the case.
