USERS, PUBLIC OPINION AND POLICY MAKERESPERCEIVE LIBRARIES AND LIBRARIANS AS MORE IMPORTANT FOR INDIVIDUAL, COMMUNITY AND COUNTRY DEVELOPMENT.
THE KNOWLEDGE AND INFORMATION NEEDSOF LOCAL COMMUNITIES ARE BETTERADDRESSED BY LIBRIARIES.

Libraries undertake new activities (beyond book-related), becoming the „third place” (meeting place) serving c. 2,6 million2,6 million users & c. 10 million 10 million inhabitants – Program only.
People visit libraries more often, benefit in various areas, e.g. education, culture, social integration, civic participation, life-long learning, everyday life, job searching - c. 100,000 100,000 users.
For almost 30% of computer users library is the only place where they have access to ICT (c. 200,000200,000).
Almost 40% first-clickers (c. 250,000250,000).
e-Inclusion Award „Be Part of IT!” 2012 for good practices in using ICT and digital technology to tackle social and digital exclusion across Europe

Free Internet access for all public libraries in Poland (c. 3,500 have taken benefit so far)
