Radio Drama –‘’First Bell‘’ Season 1 was a big success. We received around 30 entries, from which 17 got selected and was broad-casted On-Air. Prof.Aliyar and Actress Seema G Nair were the judges.

It was a Jumbo Electronics Bonanza. Where listeners were given a chance to watch IPL Final Match live at the Stadium. Olive Suno Radio Network & Jumbo electronics gave away free tickets to the winners of the On-Air contest, associated with IPL 2018.

Radio Suno 91.7 FM gives their listeners an amazing opportunity to watch IPL final match in India. Olive Suno Radio Network in association with Jumbo Elec-tronics, conducted this superb event and the final two listeners were invited to our studio for the grand finale games. The winner got a free air - ticket and oth-er facilities will be provided to watch the final IPL match.

Drive Safe Drive Honda Traffic Week

As a part of our new weekend show ‘Made in Qatar ‘, Ra-dio Suno 91.7 FM team visited Coastal Qatar. It is a construc-tion company which constantly takes engineering challenges and pushes the boundaries of engineering innovation. Qatar will be hosting 2022 FIFA World cup and their next main project is manufacturing chairs for the World Cup stadiums.

Qatar witnessed its first ever destination wedding, that too a big fat Indian wedding at Ritz Carlton. Olive Suno Radio Net-work received the privilege to be the official Radio partner to cover the celebrations. We took it as an opportunity to promote the proud Qatar heritage while the guests experienced a mem-orable and unique comfort, that will stay with them forever.

The safety awareness Cam-paign of Honda cars with Olive Suno Radio Network received great response. The listeners were asked to send in a picture of the VIN Number of their Hon-da Cars, made between 2001 to 2014 along with their names to Radio Olive / Radio Suno Whatsapp numbers. Sponsored by Domasco Honda, 300 lucky customers received special goodie bags.

Qatar celebrated traffic week from the 18th to 24th of March. Important traffic rules were ex-plained by the authorities. Radio Olive 106.3 and Radio Suno 91.7 were invited to participate in the Traffic week celebrations at Darb Al sai. Discussions were held regarding the usage of Radio as a medium to spread awareness.

INS Kolkata is the lead ship of the Kolkata-class stealth guid-ed-missile destroyers of the Indian Navy. INS Kolkata was in Doha for DIMDEX 2018- Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition & Conference from 12th - 14th March 2018. It was a proud moment for all of us at Olive Suno Radio Network, as we did not miss the chance of visiting the pride of Indian Navy.

Qatar hosted its first-ever FINA HOSA Marathon Swim World Series on 17th March 2018 at tur-quoise waters of Doha’s iconic Corniche. Radio Olive 106.3 FM and Radio Suno 91.7 FM were a part of the FINA Marathon Swim World Series 2018, an Open Wa-ter Challenge. It was a unique experience for us as well

Ministry of Interior in coopera-tion with Internal Security Force launched a security robot at the Hamad International Airport. It was a great experience for both the Radio channels to know the new technology and to convey the details of security robot to our listeners.

Radio Olive 106.3 FM and radio Suno 91.7 FM were a part of Alrabaha Qatar scientific club at Nuaija Park, Tumama. Qatar Scientific Club is a non-profit organization based in Qatar. It offers training programmes, workshops, and activities in a number of scientific fields. Our team loved the visit.

Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition ‘AgriteQ’ 2018 was conducted from March 20th to 22nd at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre to help Qa-tar and the region implement sustainable food production programme. Olive Suno Radio Network covered the event.

Raj Kalesh, hails from the city of Trivandrum. He is best known for his cookery shows and magic shows on television. He visited our station and soon became a part of our channel. He was a celebrity RJ for a show and was a part of our weekend show ‘’Meals Ready’’.

On this World Water Day, Radio Suno 91.7 FM team thought of exploring a hidden beautiful lake in Qatar. The Lake is in Irkaya farm which is located off the Abu Samra Road about 50 kilometres west of Doha. Our aim was to emphasise on con-serving water and saving it for the future.

Golden Mic is an amazing op-portunity for all music enthusiasts in Qatar. The young talented music director Shaan Rahman provides a great platform for all musicians to participate in a ra-dio reality show called ‘’ Gold-en Mic ‘’. The winner will get a chance to sing a song in Shaan Rahman’s music direction. Among 600 entries we selected 65 singers to attend the audition and 21 got selected from the first round. Semi-final audition was held on first week of April.

The 51st Executive Council Session of the International Civil Defence Organisation (ICDO) was held at Sheraton Doha. The event was conducted under the patronage of The Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani. Olive Suno Ra-dio Network was there to cover the event.

The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kah-ramaa) had launched the week-long Tarsheed Carnival at the Kahramaa Awareness Park in Al Thumama. Tarsheed is the national programme for conser-vation and energy efficiency. Olive Suno Radio Network cov-ered the event which featured an array of entertainment activ-ities, including live music perfor-mances and dances.

Radio Suno 91.7 FM’s week-end show ‘’ Made in Qatar ‘’ planned to explore Italian cuisines this time. RJ Bobby vis-ited a famous Italian restaurant in Qatar named ‘’ Colosseum Italian Restaurant ‘’. Check our social media platforms to watch the videos.

The 2018 Artistic Gymnastics World Cup was held from March 21st to 24th in Doha, with 40 countries participating in the annual championship. The four-day event featured some of the world’s top names, including reigning Olympic champion Kohei Uchimura of Japan. Radio Olive 106.3 FM and Radio Suno 91.7 FM were the official radio partners for 11th Artistic Gym-nastics World Cup.
