INPUT ON LAND MOBILE HANDBOOK (LMH) BWA EDITION

1. Introduction

Working Party (WP) 5A is developing latest edition to Land Mobile Handbook (LMH) on Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) systems. A Correspondence Group (CG) has been working in between WP 5A meetings with the aim of completion of this latest edition of the LMH. The latest working documents have been communicated on the CG email reflector, which form the basis for this contribution.

2. Discussion

WiMAX Forum presents this contribution with the aim of moving towards completion of the BWA edition of LMH. All input is contained in the two electronically attached documents in Annex 1 to this document. The input consists of changes to the main body of the Handbook (sections 5.4 and 5.5) as well as to Annex B.8. Changes to the main body are shown as marked-up text with blue highlighting to distinguish them from other changes introduced during past meetings or during correspondence activity. Changes to Annex B.8 are only shown as marked-up text with no highlighting since there were no other marked-up texts in Annex B.8 of the working document.

3. Proposal

WiMAX Forum proposes that:

- WP 5A incorporate the material in Annex 1 of this document into the working documents for LMH BWA.

- WP 5A to make an effort to complete the work at its upcoming meeting in November 2009.

WiMAX Forum is looking forward to continued cooperation with WP 5A on LMH and other matters of interest.
