    Premise

    The Radialight products use the unique technical advantages of a heating technologycalled DHS , acronym for Diffused Heating System.

    This technology , developed and patented in Italy along the last 9 years has created aspecial way to generate heating using large heating surfaces working at low ( but efficient)temperatures with a very low energy consumption.It is in fact known that to make home environments comfortable the ideal temperature ofheating surfaces ( think about steel or aluminium radiators) is to be between 60 and 80C.Normally electric heating elements work at temperatures of hundreds of degrees, usingmany hundreds if not thousands of watts and they need therefore to be electricallyinsulated inside more or less complicate metal and / or plastic housings , the extremely hottemperature they generate is then to be forced by convection in the ambient or displacedwithin tubes using oil or thermal conducting fluids.Radialight heating elements completely overturn this concept.

    The element works at a temperature between 70C and 75C ( at air- ambienttemperature of around 20C) and is perfectly electrically and water insulated : the elementIS the product.

    In this way , being the heating element directly in contact with the ambient, there is a directand immediate conversion of electricity in thermal energy, given to the air.Electricity consumption is low; efficiency is extremely high.

    Not only. Another big advantage of the Radialight technology is that heating is almost100% generated by radiation.Radiation, compared to convection , has 3 advantages.

    It is a heating much better perceived by human body, even if the ambienttemperature is not particularly high.

    Comfort is created at human body level, without lost of efficiecy to heat the highlevels of the bathroom

    It doesnt dry the air.

    So its a much healthier and comfortable system.

    Product Facts and figures

    Efficiency and energy saving

    The heating surface of the product works at temperatures between 70 and 75C( surface temperature measured at 20C ambient temperature. Please note that every degree more or

    less of ambient temperature gives approximately one degree more or less in surface temperature )This result is obtained with a very low energy consumption : some hundreds ofwatts

    270 W on Acanto and Helisea 70 models , with an heating surface of 45 * 60cm.

    400 W on the Acanto and Helisea 70 models, with an heating surface of 45 *

    90 cm.

    The speed to get in temperature is very high : it takes around 5 6 minutes againstthe usual 35 40 minutes of traditional electric towel warming radiators. It is a quickheating product.

    The time it takes to make towels warm and comfortable or wet towels completelydry is therefore much shorter than in traditional products.

    A towel, wet with 300 gr. of water loses 80% of this humidity within 3 hours.

    The heating performanceis excellentbecause the radiation effect is high ,consistent and immediately transferred to the ambient

    Design and color

    The design of the product is stylish .Immediately it is perceived as something newby the end user but also assomething to furnishthe bathroom environment.

    The decoration of the heating element has been studied with a very peculiar dottedeffect which gives a kind of 3D effect and perfectly fits with the 2 available colorchoices : white with light beige inserts and aluminium with dark brown ( Pantone warmgray 11 C) inserts.

    Ideal to warm towels

    The towel racks are placed very distant one from the other. The surface of the towel istherefore totally exposed to radiation and there is no overlapping effect between onetowel and another.Also, all the heating surface has the same temperature while generally in otherproducts the lower part of the product is always much colder than the top part.This means that all the hanged towelsand bath robes get warm in a comfortableand consistent way.

    Multi functional use

    The product can be used as a heating source for your bathroom .Correct sizing of the necessary power can be done considering in most cases between

    50 and 70 W/m2, depending on the insulation of the bathroom and the external projecttemperatures.In average, the smaller product ( Acanto 70 or Helisea 70) is suggested for bathroomsbetween 4 and 6 m2 while the bigger one ( Acanto 110 or Helisea 110) is suggested forbathrooms between 6 and 8 m2.However , the product can also be used as an additional and very effective heatingsource in addition to a central or fixed heating system ( floor heating, central watersupplied heating ) which is not sufficient to produce the required comfort level in thebathroom.

    It is perfect to warm towels and bath robes.

    It can also be used to dry light clothingduring the mid and cold humid seasons.

    Easy and cheap to ins tall

    The product is very light. Its weight is of about 5 Kg. while traditional electric towelwarmers have a weight between 15 and 25 Kg.

    It is fully electrical and requires no plumbing connectionand , most of all, it has abuilt in supply cable fitted with a plug.

    Everything to wall mount it is included in the packaging.

    Therefore : it is easy to carry, easy to install and dis-install and, most o f all, it canbe fitted in an already existing bathroom without expensive installation costs.

    Dimensions, particularly of the smaller Acanto Helisea 70 models, allow installationalso in quite small bathrooms and narrow spaces.

    Electronic controls for top comfort

    The controls include .

    o An on off switch to permanently connect or disconnect the mains supply;

    o Electronic ambient thermostat for a very accurate control of the ambienttemperature. The maximum temperature differential is around + - 0,5C;

    o Additional timer to use the product only for the time we want it to work: wecan chose between 15 or 30 or 60 or 120 minutes.

    o Once the timer has finished, control returns to the thermostat. If the thermostatis in minimum ( frost free) position , the product switches off.

    Safety : a top priority

    Double electrical insulation ( requires no earthing)Splash water proved IP X4

    The product is therefore ideal to be installed into bathrooms and humid areas.

    It has been submitted to safety and Electro Compatibility tests according to the latestEN 60 335 -1 , EN 60335 2-30 and EN 60335 2-43 Standards.

    IMQ and NF Safety certificates and test reports have been issued and available.

    For the US the product will be ETL approved according to UL 499 standard.

    The double side effect

    Due to the fact that the element irradiates on both sides the Radialight technology

    offers a unique feature : the double side effect.

    In the Helisea models the product can be adjusted with a rotation and the towel racksplaced on both the sides of the product can be used to warm double the quantity oftowels and / or light clothing than all the other traditional towel warmers.

    This gives 3 main advantages:

    A the number of towels which can be warmed at the same time is double and

    therefore the ratio between used power, space and number of towels we can warmis not comparable with traditional towel warming radiators.

    B when opened and positioned in 90C orientation ( if your bathroom allows doing so)the product can warm both the areas of the bathroom, the one on the left and theone on the right.

    C Towels can be kept warm on one side of the product leaving the other side free toirradiate heat in the bathroom.

    A so l ight product, would i t be strong enough ?

    Though light, the structure of the product is extremely solid and resistant.

    When hanged on the wall, even applying a weith of 30 Kg. In the most un favourable way,the product and its wall fixation doesnt bend or break.

    The heating element surface is strong as well.If hit with a strike of 5 Kg. Falling from a height of 1,5 mt., no damage has been caused .
