Welcome Week 2015!

It seems as though Wel-

come Week 2014 was only

a couple of months ago

(oh, it was!) but now is the

perfect time to start thinking about Welcome

Week 2015! You & your committees need to start

discussing in meetings what events you would

like to make happen in your halls. Welcome Week

has been the key theme in Senior Student Coun-

cil meetings. If you would like more information

about how Welcome Week is going to be held in

2015, please make sure a representative of your

halls is present at SSC Meetings. Contact Megan

Taylor or Jack Lofthouse to find out about

meetings.

Sports Corner!

Sporticipate is a National

Lottery funded project which aims to provide free

sports to students. There are a number of Christ-

mas themed events happening such as 5-a-side

football, ultimate frisbee, netball, basketball &

touch rugby. All of these events are FREE! Click

here for the latest information & events!

Students’ Union Website!

We openly admit that the

Students’ Union Residents’

Association Page isn’t that

fancy so we need your help

to jazz it up! We want you

to send in a picture of your

committee (either a group photo or individual photos!)

so that students’ know who their RA/JCR is! 20 bonus

points will be given to the RAs & JCRs who send in

pictures! Send them to Chloe Barker or Stef Hartley

Charity Corner!

Many halls have already

started collecting money for charity with some

halls already hurtling towards their target! The

fundraising leader board is now live online, take

a look here.

Think about adding a charity element to any

Christmas events coming up! Add an extra £1 to

your ball ticket, hold a raffle on the night or cel-

ebrate National Christmas Jumper Day with

Save The Children.

RAG Beer Fest is happening 10-12th

Dec. With a Bavarian theme, the

event boasts range of ales, craft

beers, flavoured vodkas and ciders!

Buy tickets for ultimate student beer

festival here!
