Happy fall! Over the summer months we took the opportunity to go through our clubhouse and perform our annual deep-cleaning, necessary repairs, and preventative maintenance. The big news this summer was the renovation of our 39 sleeping rooms. Among many other changes, we’ve added new paint, lighting, window treatments, and bed linens, that have significantly enhanced the overnight experience at The Penn Club. The project began in early July, and I’m happy to say that we are right on schedule, and the completed rooms are beautiful. This has been the first major endeavor under my leadership since I started at the Club in January, and has truly proved to be a team effort.

A special thank you to our Chief Engineer, Jose Acosta—the man behind the scenes, who worked tirelessly on the renovation project, and keeps this building in such terrific shape.

We’ve also purchased a digital signage system for our lobby to alert you of announcements and happenings at the Club.

September marks a new month of exciting programs, networking, and renewed reflections on the many facets of your club life. Another new development that we are excited to announce is our buffet-style Wednesday lunch and Friday dinner in the Main Dining Room. For those of you who love to dine in the Main Dining Room, we encourage you to turn up often at these buffet lunches and dinners. I’m eager to welcome you to your home-away-from-home as we once again enter another exciting chapter in the life of the Club.

—R. Mark Jezierski
