Project: Smith Dairy - Regional Retailer Promotion
Objective: Increase sales of Meijer gallons of milk during key baking month of December
Execution: R solutions helped Smith Dairy sell 150,000 extra gallons of milk at Meijer stores during December, a key baking month. Through a partnership fostered by R solutions, Betty Crocker provided 150,000 packets of blueberry muffin mix in exchange for exposure in the baking aisle. Consumers received one packet for free when they purchased two gallons of Meijer Milk.
This promotion was also supported in the dairy aisle with headers and wobblers on the milk bossies.

Project: Lowe’s® Planogram Overhaul
Objective: Educate consumers and store associates about deck and porch railings
Execution: R solutions performed a complete planogram overhaul, making the bay more shoppable and adding informational materials that educate consumers and store associates, thereby facilitating sales. An in-bay beam flip book, “How-To” tear pads and additional product support achieved the client’s objective while conforming to all Lowe’s Multi Lingual Visual Merchandising standards.

Project: Dirt Devil® Broom Vac® Display for Costco
Objective: Work within Costco’s merchandising guidelines to create an engaging and persuasive store display to introduce the NEW Broom Vac® from Dirt Devil®.
Execution: R solutions developed a fully functional in-store display, which conveyed the features and benefits of the NEW Broom Vac® product. Project: Merchandising within Lowe’s Multilingual Visual Standards
Objective: Bring together drains and toilet flange POG in Rough Plumbing aisle at Lowe’s
Execution: With “Do-It-Yourself” and “Do-It For-Me” consumers shopping the big boxes at locations like Lowe’s, R solutions recognized that Oatey’s retail presentation needed to effectively speak to the average retail consumer instead of to plumbing contractors, as had been the previous target audience.
With that in mind, R solutions developed, within the Lowe’s Multi Lingual Visual Standard, merchandising and packaging that doubled Oatey’s product turns in the rough plumbing aisle. Clear communication on the packaging facilitated aisle navigation and product selection which, in turn, drove sales. Not only do these Point-of-Purchase materials aid the end user in product selection, they help retail associates understand the products selling within their category.

Project: In-Bay Flip Book, Tear Pad and Promotional Display
Objective: Simplify shopping experience for the consumer through education
Execution: To educate the consumer and sales associate at Lowe’s, R solutions produced a “How-to” tear pad and in-bay flip book, making aisle navigation a snap for the consumer. Because of the simplified product selection process, sales within the 4-foot POG increased top line by 13% on a comp store basis and overall sales increased by 9%.
The addition of an off-shelf promotional side stack display increased irrigation cement inventory by 8% but turned the inventory within two weeks. This led to a 30% sales increase.
Combining tactics of consumer education and promotional displays create vast opportunities for increased inventory turns and sales.

Project: Costco Pallet Merchandising
Objective: Work within Costco’s merchandising/structural packaging guidelines to create an engaging and persuasive store display
Execution: R solutions was given the task of demonstrating to consumers why the comparatively high cost of the Hydro No-Crank Hose Reel was worth the additional investment.
An engaging pallet display, which conveyed that the hose reel was activated by water and not hand, helped turn a 40 store test into a chain-wide stock item. The powered motion displays attached to each pallet helped test stores sell out of product during the promotional time period, leading to a chain-wide order.

Project: Winner’s Circle Rewards Program
Objective: Develop incentives for distributors to stock and recommend a full spectrum of TCP lighting products
Execution: R solutions created an annual incentive program through which distributors accumulate points for every dollar of TCP merchandise sold to the contractor network. Accumulated points were exchanged for prizes, including incentive travel, branded merchandise and electronics. This incentive program contributed to a 23.5% comp sales increase to participating distributors. R solutions developed a full turnkey program and managed all aspects including website design and development, sales tracking, prize fulfillment, CRM functions and result tracking.

Project: Disney Cross Promotion
Objective: Drive ice cream sales at grocery during back-to-school timeframe
Execution: R solutions brought the national brand of Disney to Smith Dairy in a partnership promotion that boosted ½ gallon sales by 225,000 within the promotional time frame. Consumers who purchased two ½ gallons and a video received $5 back by mail, which allowed Smith Dairy to build a valuable database of 35,000 active consumers.
The promotion was supported by FSI coupons, in store freezer statics, local radio, on freezer rebate pads, belly bands on milk products and an ad slick CD for local retailers.

Objective: Develop a loyalty/incentive program encouraging commercial concrete contractors to purchase select Sonneborn® products
Execution: In celebration of Sonneborn’s 100th Anniversary, R solutions created a turnkey 12-month incentive program through which contractors accumulated reward points for select Sonneborn® products purchased from participating distributor locations. Accumulated points were exchanged for prizes, including incentive travel, branded merchandise and electronics. Project: Direct Marketing/Lead Qualification Program
Objective: Create a Database of Qualified Sales Leads for GroundScape Sales Staff
Execution: R solutions compiled a database comprised of potential commercial users of recycled rubber surfacing products. A direct mail postcard was sent to each contact and was followed up with a telemarketing call to further qualify the contact and to schedule visits by GroundScape representatives. Although positive responses of sales appointments or purchases of 2%-5% are considered successful in direct mail campaigns, following up with the phone call pushed our positive response rate past 23%! This allowed GroundScape’s sales staff to efficiently move through the database to close only highly qualified prospects.

Project: Experience It and Win Promotion
Objective: Drive consumers to Tempur-Pedic distributor showrooms for a product trial and create a database of leads for future eMarketing Initiatives
Execution: Consumers received a scratch card when they visited a dealer showroom to try any Tempr-Pedic mattress. The scratch card provided a sweepstakes code which the consumer then entered online for a chance to win a cash prize or free Tempur-Pedic product. Over $100,000 in prizes was available in this national promotion, which resulted in a database of over 41,000 unique visitors to the promotional website.

Consumers took a pledge to replace an incandescent light bulb with an energy efficient compact fluorescent light and then were entered into a sweepstakes to win a Ford Escape Hybrid. The promotion received over 60,000 sweepstakes entries and helped The Home Depot earn the Energy Star Partner of the Year designation.

Objective: Drive traffic to Dunkin’ Donuts locations during the Test Market of new Hash Browns menu item
Execution: R solutions dispatched teams of Brand Ambassadors to strategic locations within the test market. These Brand Ambassadors visited commercial centers, hospitals, office parks, a college and residential areas where they distributed almost 10,000 coupons and door hangers in two days. Ambassadors also collected anecdotal feedback regarding the new product and reported consumer responses. This test market proved that Hash Browns could be a successful menu item and drove enough product trial for Dunkin’ Donuts to properly evaluate consumer response to the new product. Hash Browns are now available in all Dunkin’ Donut stores.

Baskin-Robbins ice cream pints
Execution: R solutions assisted Baskin-Robbins with their
regional and national rollouts of the Pint for a Pint program.
Certificates for free pints of Baskin-Robbins ice cream are
sold to blood collection agencies at a discount of over 50%.
The certificates are then handed out by the blood collection
agencies as an incentive for consumers to donate blood.
R solutions compiles a list of blood donation organizations
and locations and provides program information that leads to
annual sales of over 200,000 certificates.
The Baskin-Robbins Pint For A Pint TM Program has
