A Chassis Connector Preparation

Male Chassis

Pull of the strain relief boot of the XB2 connector

and slide it slightly to the back.

Place the XB2 connector from the top into the

carrier (1) and slide the XB2 connector (2) from

the front into the carrier.

Slide the strain relief boot back in position.

Connect the carrier from the back into the male

chassis.Attention! Check the correct keying position.

CAUTION:To avoid the risk of electric shock. Always disconnect the connector

from the power source.

Female Chassis

Connect the XB2 female connector from the back

into the female chassis.Attention! Check the correct keying position.

B Chassis Connector Cleaning / Inspection

Tools: Ÿ 99% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or cleaning fluid (FOCD-CF) or distilled water

Ÿ Dust remover (Air in a can)

Ÿ STICKLERS Clean STIXX MCC-EB12 - Expanded Beam Lens

Disconnect both cable ends for safety

reasons.Do not stare into beams or view directly with

optical instruments.

Remove the protection cap:- The Male connector has a lockable cap.- The Female connector has a pluggable cap.

Check the lenses for contamination.

If there is no visible contamination

® No cleaning necessary.

A – small contamination:

Use the dust remover to apply air to the lenses.

B – heavy contamination:

Moisten the tip of the STICKLERS Clean STIXX

with some drops of alcohol.

Apply the moistened tip to the lens.

Remove dust residuals by rotating the tip of the

swab.Rotate the swab six to eight times in one direction.

Use the dust remover to apply air to the lenses.

After cleaning the lenses apply the protection cap.
