1) C. It can measure your body mass It’s an “all-in-one” system which can play games, live TV, movies and music. It comes with Kinect motion control and can see each finger on your hands. It can also tell who is speaking. To stop piracy, games have to be copied to the built-in memory before you can play them and they can’t be lent or sold.

2) C. Sanitarium and Fonterra The Government will put up $9.5 million over the next five years to allow Fonterra and Sanitarium to expand school breakfast programmes to five days a week for all schools that need it. The companies will have to fund the rest of the estimated $19 million cost themselves.

3) D. Germany

Barbie’s life-sized plastic mansion welcomed its first visitors last week. The giant pink house includes a Barbie cupcake kitchen and pink catwalk for girls to model Barbie clothes. The project is the brainchild of Austrian Christopher Rahofer, who designed the house on licence from Mattel.

4) A. Helen Clark The rating comes from the Forbes Magazine which publishes the list each year. Clark is the head of the UN’s development programme and is the only New Zealander in the list of 100 women. It’s the 9th time she’s made the list. She is in charge of a budget of almost $6 billion and a staff of 8000 in 177 countries.

5) B. knaidel. Arvind Mahankali, a 13-year-old from New York, won the US National Spelling Bee by correctly spelling "knaidel," a kind of dumpling. Mahankali had finished third in the contest twice before. He will take home US$30,000 in cash and prizes along with a huge trophy. The runner-up was eliminated on the word "cyanophycean," a blue-green algae.

6) C. $825 000. Apple’s founders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak built the vintage computer in a family garage. It is one of only six known remaining working models in the world. The computer bears Wozniak's signature. An old business letter from the late Jobs was also included. The Apple 1, which was sold in 1976, consisted of only the circuit board. A case, a keyboard and a screen had to be bought separately.

7) A. Star Wars Starfighter The model is of a Star Wars X-wing starfighter and is 13m long with a 13.5m wingspan. It took 32 builders more than a year to put together and is made up of 5,335,200 bricks of Lego, weighing a massive 20 tonne!

8) D. Mt. Hutt ski field. The 15-tonne boulder crashed into a house during the February 2011 earthquake. It was sold to NZSki in March 2011, raising more than $60,000 for Canterbury's earthquake recovery, but had remained stuck in the house until demolition work started last week.

9) B. The T-shirt The T-shirt had humble beginnings as an undershirt. In 1913, the U.S. Navy issued crewneck tees to be worn under uniforms. The T-shirt was first defined in 1920 as a cotton collarless short-sleeved or sleeveless undershirt. T-shirts eventually became more stylish, often featuring prints and slogans.

10) C. A bottle of milk Last week, Tony Kanaan won the 97th Indianopolis 500, the biggest motor racing event in America. A tradition is for the winner to drink a bottle of milk immediately after the race. This began in 1936 after Louis Meyer asked for a glass of buttermilk. By 1956, it became a ritual as milk companies became sponsors.
