2. take (1) E 2 ½” square and either fold diagonally and press with iron or draw diagonal line on the wrong side. place E square right sides together with F 2 ½” x 8 ½” rectangle and sew on diagonal line. press open towards left corner. trim excess fabric on reverse side to 1/4”. repeat for right side. Make 24 EF UNITS and DF UNITS.

3. sew (1) D 2 ½” square to each end of (1) EF UNIT. repeat for DF UNIT using fabric E. trim to 2 ½” x 12 ½”, Make 12 of each. EF-D and DF-E UNITS.

4. sew (1) EF UNIT to each side of AB UNIT. then add (1) EF-D UNIT to top and bottom of AB BLOCK. square to 12 ½” to create BLOCK 1. repeat for AC UNIT using DF UNITS for the sides and ED-F UNITS for top and bottom. this will create BLOCK 2. Make 6 of each.

QUILT ASSEMBLY: Quilt consists of horizontal rows. Refer to Quilt Diagram on next page for placement.

5. sew blocks together following the diagram below.

BORDER ASSEMBLY MEASURE WIDTH AND LENGTH OF THE QUILT TOP TO ENSURE BORDER SIZES, BELOW ARE OUR CUTTING SIZES.

6. INNER BORDER: sew (1) G 1 ½” x (48 ½”) strip to left and (1) to the right of quilt center. then sew (1) G 1 ½” x (38 ½”) the top and (1) to the bottom of quilt center.

7. OUTER BORDER: sew (1) H 2 ½” x (50 ½”) strip to left and (1) to the right of quilt center. then sew (1) H 2 ½” x (42 ½”) the top and (1) to the bottom of quilt center.

FINISHING : cut batting and backing 3” larger than top on all sides. layer

backing, batting and top together and baste or pin. when quilting is

completed, trim excess batting and backing. bind as usual.

Finished Quilt Size: 42” W x 54”L
