Segments let you group users based on observed activity. You can use Segments to filter or split other User Insights and Analytics reports. This allows you to evaluate traits and behaviors that make a certain group unique.

Create a Segment using up to two event conditions. Keep in mind that the second event can be defined as a positive or negative (did/did not perform “xyz” event). Add filters to these conditions to get more granular Segments.

Every conversion within your app has a starting point and a finish line, often with multiple steps in between. Funnels help you surface the behaviors that drive conversion or abandonment, empowering you to measure and optimize user experience.

Filter your report to include a specific subset of data and see how it effects conversion rates. Edit the date range to see data over different time periods. Create a new Funnel by defining a sequence of events (steps) a user must pass through to perform a final desired “conversion” event (e.g. check out, share on social, upgrade, etc.). You can further focus each step by selecting specific event attributes, dimensions, or custom dimensions. Consider using the “Save” feature to export your Funnel as a PDF, schedule email reports, or add it to a custom dashboard.

“Click in” to a step to see details such as same-day conversion rates and lost vs. converted users. Look at the events performed before this step (for converted users) and events performed after the previous step (for lost users) to see if specific actions drive a user to proceed or drop out of the Funnel.

If you want to view a Funnel you built previously, you can select it from the drop-down menu.
