Here we see that the majority of the participants of my questionnaires were 17 years of age.

2. What is your gender ?

From this I concluded that 8 people out of 20 were females and 12 out of 20 were males.

3.What genre of music do you listen to ?

From this data I found out that the most popular genre is Hip hop. The second two popular genre’s were grime and R&B. The genre’s that were the least popular were funky-house, garage and classical. As I have found the most popular is Hip-Hop, this is the genre that I chose to base my magazine on.

These were the results that I got for peoples favourite bands. We can see that there is a wide range of artists from all different genres.

1. How much are you willing to spend on a music magazine ?

From this I concluded that the majority of people are willing to pay £1-£3 for a music magazine. Only 4 people were willing to pay more than £5. As a result of this data, I will make the price of my magazine between £1-£3.

6.How often do you go to concerts ?

From this data I concluded that in general, people go to concerts monthly/ occasionally.

7.How often do you go on the internet per week ?

From this I concluded that people in general went on the internet 8-12 hours per week.

8.What type of freebies would you like with your magazine ?

From this I concluded that people preferred CD’s and postcards as freebies with their magazines.

9.Do you take part in competitions ?

From this I concluded that 2/3 of people do not take part in competitions.

10.How often do you purchase magazines ?

From this I concluded that people mostly purchased magazines on a occasional basis.

11.What is your favourite magazine ?

From this I found out that the most popular magazine was XXL. The least popular was Mojo.

12.What other magazines do you read ?

Here we see that the most popular choice here was ‘other’. The least popular were ‘Mojo’ and ‘Vibe’.
