Question One Response

Page 4: Questionaire

Why do you feel this genre best describes it?

The video has a lot of strange effects that make it feel trippy. I feel like Psychedelic would best describe this.

The video seems like something Syd Barrett would put together with all the clashing colours. It’s definitely Psychedelic.

I’d say Psychedelic because it’s a bit weird.

Page 5: Questionaire

Did the editing techniques fit the genre? How?Yeah, the effects made it feel strange and a bit out there. (Psychedelic Response.)

The stop motion and colours twisted reality.

You wouldn’t see the strange techniques in other genres.

Page 6: Questionaire

Did the costumes suit the genre? Why?

The style seemed to be influenced by 60s fashion, the birth of psychedelia, so it fits.

The costumes could have been a bit brighter and used more colours.

The costumes seemed a bit subdued, but they still fit with the style.

Page 7: Questionaire

Is the Digipak fairly representative of the video?

The digipak has the drawn characters on it, however they should have been coloured like they are on the digipak.

The video didn’t seem as colourful as the digipak, it should have been more cartoonized.

They fit together nicely, they share the same characters, while both put their own unique spin on them. Both look light-hearted, but if you look closer they’re actually very dark.

Would you buy the album based off the Digipak alone? Why?It would definitely catch my eye, but I always need to listen to the music before I buy a CD.

No, I don’t think it would stand out against the dozens of other CDs on the shelf.

The design would get me interested, I like the little characters. I’d listen to it on the internet and if I enjoyed it I’d go back and pick it up.

Page 9: Questionaire

Was the digipak done to a professional standard? Explain. No, it’s a little rough around the edges and had a few mistakes with some of the images not being cut out right.

Yeah, the colours are eye-catching and the design is thought out in terms of attracting people to it, this is important to design an album cover professionally.

It wasn’t at that level, it needs have some of the faults ironed out before it could be considered professional.

Page 10: Questionaire

Did the website appear professional? Elaborate.

It could have used more interactive features to engage more with the person using it.

Yeah, it was user-friendly and easy to navigate.

It includes most of the industry standards and has social media intergration, so I’d say so.

Page 11: Questionaire

Does the website aesthetically fit with the other two products? Why? Yeah, it had the same cartoon characters on it as the digipak.

It had the same design scheme as digipak and was just as colourful as the video.

It fit more with the design of the album cover than it did with the music video.
