Question 7Looking back at your preliminary task [the school

magazine], what do you feel you have learnt in the

progression from it to the full product?

Page 2: Question 7

What I have learnt.. During the process between making the school magazine to

then making the music magazine, I have learnt a lot about

how to make them better.

For my music magazine, I made sure that I designed it to

attract my target audience a lot more than I did with the

school magazine.

I learnt more about the importance of the masthead, the

images and the layout.

Layout Masthead

I learnt how the

masthead attracts

the audience. So

when making my

music magazine, I

made sure that it

would attract my

target audience.

Layout

For my school

magazine, the

layout was in two

columns which

isn't the

conventional way.

So when making

my music

magazine, the

layout was in three

columns.

Model

For my music

magazine I made

sure that that the

model was

looking at the

camera to attract

the audience.

Cover story

The look of my

cover story

looked a bit dull.

So for my music

magazine I made

it a lot more

interesting.

Page 5: Question 7

I don’t particularly like the contents

page for my school magazine, so I

for the music magazine I wanted to

make it a lot better.

Model

Instead of

having just one

model, I

decided to have

three. I wanted

to split it up.

Layout

For my music magazine, I made

the layout a lot more set out

and categorized. The layout of

for the school magazine wasn’t

very nicely set out.
