Looking back at your preliminary task, (college magazine) what do you feel you have

learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

Since completing my Ancillary Project, my knowledge in a number of areas has progressed. For example, my digital photography has

improved, as on my ancillary task I used a range of basic images in comparison to my final product, where I used images that I had taken in

a proper studio using the full lighting equipment. This was essential to my product as the images give my magazine a more professional

appearance. My knowledge of design and layout has also improved, as in order to complete my magazine I had to consider how my design

and house style would be appropriate for my target audience. Through market research and increased ability with Photoshop, I was able to

layout my magazine cover, contents and double page spread in a more effective and successful way. Furthermore, I have progressed in my

use of image manipulation and Photoshop through completing my final product, and now have a wider understanding of how to use the

program and the different tools available in order to edit photographs successfully.
