Using GarageBand • I used Garageband to create the incidental

music for the film opening of my product. • Before this project, I had never used

Garageband before and so I had to learn as I went along.

• I developed my musical skills on Garageband; which includes timing and layering.

Using Garageband

• It was challenging as I had never used this tool before, and so I needed to learn quickly.

• I did this by playing around and creating different styles of incidental music.

• Once I got a good idea of a style that I liked, I then advanced on it and then timed it in time with the final product.

• Garageband was also convenient as when we needed to create the music for the ident, I was able to use it at ease to create something simple yet effective.

Using Garageband

• Garageband helped the project massively as the film depended entirely on the timing of the incidental music to create tension.

• This was a challenge for our communication as it needed to be timed perfectly to the second but in the end we were able to achieve the timing perfectly.

• I would probably not use this for another project as it was very time consuming and meant I was more focused on making the music instead of helping my team with the editing.

Using Blogger

• I used blogger to post my progress online about my film to show the development and improvements made throughout the production process.

• Before this project, I had briefly used blogger but was unsure about how it worked.

• Using blogger improved my presentation skills as well as my English spelling and grammar.

Using Blogger

• Using Blogger was in no way challenging, which was convenient as it meant I could post updates without any issues or stresses.

• Blogger helped with the project as I was able to look back on progress and see where I had made mistakes and could add improvements.

• I would use this website for another project as it is easy to use, accessible and presents my work clearly and neatly.

Using film cameras

• The film camera we used for our film opening was a Nikon d3200 with a Hama tripod.

• The job of the film camera was to record out content for the film.

• I had never used this particular model of film camera before this project, I had however used other filming equipment in the past.

• Skills I developed includes steadiness (when holding the camera) as well as shooting and camera techniques.

Using film cameras

• Using the cameras wasn’t challenging, however getting the tripod steady on rough ground was quite a challenge particularly when filming in the woodland location.

• It was somewhat convenient as it was easy to film and delete when accessible, however it was a challenge to carry the camera and tripod to and from the location.

• The camera helped with out project as we were able to film with ease with no issues or errors.

• I would use this make of camera again as the quality was good and it was easy to use.

Using Youtube

• We used Youtube to put up videos necessary to show we were making improvements, including rough cut footage, Foley art recordings and the final cut.

• I had great experience with Youtube before this project and so I knew exactly how it worked.

• Using Youtube helped me to develop on my research skills as I used it frequently not only to upload content but also to help me out if I needed help making other content e.g. how to use Garageband tutorials.

Using Youtube

• Youtube was in no way challenging as I knew how to use it before the project, and very convenient as it is always present on the web and available to any laptop so I can upload content from anywhere.

• It helped our project as we were able to use it to research into how to videos when we were stuck, as well as film openings when we needed inspiration.

• I would use it for another project as it is convenient, helpful and easy to use.
