constructing this product?

During the course of this project the skills from which I possessed before hand have advanced further as the duration of the course went on. With only basic understanding of most of the software’s, I began using other resources that would ensured I would be capable of achieving to my full potential. The following slides show what I have progressed on or gained knowledge upon.

INTRODUCTION

ADOBE PHOTOSHOP

From the beginning of the project I had a very simplistic idea of using Photoshop, this was from my prior knowledge of Photoshop in GSCE Media. Where I created a perfume advertisement of whom would appeal to the target audience I had chosen. I realised that coming into this project I would need a more advanced understanding of Photoshop. Through tutorials from YouTube and practice before beginning my final products I was able to get better acquaintance with the programme. With this new absorbed data, I was capable to use new tools and features the programme offers to construct a magazine of my genre chosen. For example I have learnt about the variety of tools that can be used to shade a certain image which ensure the editing of my work is realistic which gives the image a natural affect. As the project continued I gained further knowledge and insight. The fact that I had downloaded the software at home gave me the self-assurance in my work. I feel more self-confident in using the programme than before I began the project and I feel that I have gained many skills. Although I admit it being quiet challenging at first.

I have been able to download new fonts onto the programme and use them in my work. Brooding my skills further, which initially shows how that there is more to learn than the given set of tools I had previously came into the project with. The website gave me a variety of fonts that would be well suited to my magazine’s genre of music. Using a selective few fonts that personally I thought suited my genre choice I was able to insert them into my final three products. I was also able to edit the fonts to how I see fit to make sure they fitted well with the three products. I believe this to be the most straightforward technological skill I have gained.

BLOGGER.COM

Blogger.com was were my blogging days for this project began. I had never used this website before nor heard of it before this project therefore having no prior knowledge I engulfed myself into learning as much as possible on how to blog and upload videos, images and PowerPoint's. Starting simply I learnt basics of blogging and uploading a post. As my posts go further on there is evidence that portrays that I gained the concept to upload video’s and images. Further on I was able to change my presentation of my blog by changing the template and colour of the writing and even how the pages are presented to the audience. During the period of this project I believe I have gained a skill of blogging and using other resources bringing them into one final piece. The process was ongoing, there had been many errors I have came across for example for my fonts to show I had to print screen the font and use the picture to illustrate what the image of the font looked like. I did not find it very difficult just a little time set aside to understand the main frame of the website then I was capable of using the website. I feel confident in using the website and for it to be accesses able at home was pleasing as I could blog on the go.

SLIDESHARE

Slideshare was a site that is dedicated to uploading certain documents to websites that don’t allow access to them. For slide share I used it on blogger to upload PowerPoint’s and some Word Documents that I am not able to upload straight to blogger. The concept of this website was very basic and simple to use. I thought this website was convenient and useful for the project I was carrying out as not all work was uploaded to blogger using the documents the blogger provides. the format of the website gave simple instructions that were helpful. Uploading it to blogger was self taught as I did not feel that it was a hard task. The website provided a useful service and I will continue to use it on any further projects in the future if needs be.

This is an example on my blog where I have used Slideshare to upload a PowerPoint presentation.
