How does this attract your target audience?

Clear photographs

This grabs the attention of the audience making them want to read, or at least look at my magazine.

The photographs also features young cover stars which attracts my target audience of young adults.

Masculine colour scheme

This grabs the attention of the primarily male audience as it is dark and masculine colours.

Colours such as red attract males as it connotes the idea of aggression which is associated with the stereotype of males being angry.

This colour scheme is shown throughout the magazine pages.

Obvious portray of music genre

Because the Alternative Rock genre is obviously represented and shown in my magazine young adults who enjoy this music will recognise it.

It is shown through the conventions such as rough fonts throughout the magazine.

Bands shown on the front page also give an insight to the music genre portrayed.

If my audience are attracted to these bands from this music genre, they are more likely to want to buy my magazine

Professional look

Because my magazine looked professional and presentable it attracted my target audience more.

Because my magazine is aesthetically pleasing to the target audience, of young adults/primarily male who enjoy Alternative Rock music, it gave the impression that the articles were also of a high standard.

This professionalism was shown in the contents page because many of my target audience feedback commented on how organised and professional it looked.

Masthead and titles

Because my magazine had a striking masthead and titles my target audience noticed them automatically.

This was because they were prominent and different; one of the things my targeted audience said attracts them to read a magazine is striking features such as photographs and fonts.

I also used rough fonts and picked masculine colours according to the colour scheme which also attracts young adults that are primarily male.
