Audience Feedback

When we had all finished our film openings, we where given the task to watch all of the finished products and give feedback. This would help us to figure out what we could improve in the future and also notice the good parts of what we had achieved. Below is some of the feedback that I got from my fellow students:

“Really

good idea and

editing – B

rilliant”

“Maybe think about

shortening the

opening but still a

great job – Amazing”

“The music was a

great effect on the

film and added to

the suspense – Great” “Great use of

cinematography –

Awesome”

“Quicker titles

but loved the

idea – Lovely”

“Loved the

use of various shot

types –Engaging”

What did I find out from the feedback?

Overall the feedback was generally positive and included some very nice comments. However I found out that there were a number of things that I could have done better. For example, the feedback that stood out the most was that I should shorten the titles. I agree with this comment as I too believe that they dragged on for a bit too long. It was good to know that I had an idea on what I didn’t do so well in my film opening, therefore I will make sure that I do not do the same in the future. On the other hand there was a lot of positive feedback which showed that, overall, the cinematography and general idea where the main things that stood out. I believe that the feedback will help me to figure out what I have to do in the future to improve and also what I have to keep doing to make sure that I continue to work at the highest standard that I possibly can.
