Question How do I clean the outside and inside of my AirFryer?
Answer Because the AirFryer is not filled with oil, the outside of the appliance will not get greasy like a
conventional deep fat fryer. The outside of the appliance can be cleaned with a moist cloth.
The inside of the appliance can be cleaned with hot water and a soft sponge.
If necessary, food residues stuck to the heating element can be removed with a soft to medium bristle
brush. Do not use a steel wire brush or a hard bristle brush, as this might damage the coating on the
heating element
Question How do I clean the pan and the basket?
Answer Let the appliance cool down for approx. 30 minutes before you clean it.
The pan, basket of the appliance have a non-stick coating. Do not use metal kitchen utensils or abrasive
cleaning materials to clean them, as this may damage the non-stick coating.
The pan, basket are dishwasher-proof. You can also clean the pan, basket with hot water, some
washing-up liquid and a non-abrasive sponge.
Tip: If food residues are stuck to the bottom of the pan, you can fill it with hot water and detergent and
leave it to soak for 5 to 10 minutes. Soaking will loosen the food residues and will make it easier to
remove. The quality of your detergent determines how easy it is to remove food residues and fat. Make
sure you use a detergent that can dissolve oil.
If there are fat stains on the pan or the basket and you have not been able to remove them with a
suitable detergent, use a liquid degreaser. Follow the instructions on the package.
Question How long does the AirFryer have to cool down before I can store it?
Answer We advise you to let the AirFryer cool down before you store it. You can speed up the cooling-down
process by taking the pan out of the appliance after use. When you have removed the pan, cooling down
takes between 30 and 45 minutes.
You can cool down the pan by filling it with cold tap water.
Question I see some bubbles inside my AirFryer. Is it dangerous?
Answer No, it’s not harmful as the materials used have been developed for being food safe.
Nevertheless, if bubbles inside the pan of your AirFryer appear please contact your Philips Customer
Care Center.
Question I see some peeling off spots inside my AirFryer. Is it dangerous?
Answer Some small spots can appear inside the pan of the AirFryer due to the incidental touching / scratching of
the coating (e.g. while inserting the basket or during cleaning). This should not normally happen if you
insert the basket precisely parallel. Otherwise if already occurred this is not harmful as the materials
have been developed for being food safe.
Question If a food smell stays behind in the AirFryer, how can I reduce it?
Answer When you cook ingredients that have a strong smell, this smell may stick to the appliance.
Make sure you clean the pan, the basket and the grill area after use.
If the AirFryer continues to smell after cleaning, you can neutralize the smell with some lemon.
Instructions:
1. Cut a lemon in half and put it in the basket or fill the bottom of the pan with a bit of lemon
juice.
2. Leave the lemon or lemon juice in the appliance for 20-30 minutes, without switching the
appliance on.
3. Rinse the pan with water and some washing-up liquid.

Question The AirFryer does not switch on. What can I do?
Answer When you switch on the AirFryer, the power-on light (green*) and the heating-up light (red) come on

Question What can I prepare in the AirFryer?
Answer
In the AirFryer you can prepare a variety of tasty foods, such as French fries, potatoes, snacks, meat
and poultry. You can also use it to prepare more extensive dishes, such as tapas. You can even bake
brownies in it!
Meat dishes
Chicken, beef and most other dishes that are usually fried, grilled or roasted taste well when prepared in
the AirFryer.
Vegetables
Vegetables that can be grilled, such as zucchini, corncobs or peppers, can be prepared in the AirFryer.
Vegetables that are usually cooked or steamed, such as carrots, broccoli and beans, cannot be prepared
in the AirFryer.
Frozen foods
Frozen potato-based products and snacks can be prepared in the AirFryer. It is not necessary to defrost
frozen ingredients before preparing them in the AirFryer. Frozen ingredients do require a slightly longer
preparation time, but this will not influence the end result. The temperature knob enables you to choose
the best setting for each ingredient.
Multiple dishes It is also possible to simultaneously prepare two different types of ingredients in the AirFryer. You simply place the divider in the basket and fill the basket on either side with different ingredients, for example chicken drumsticks on one side and potato wedges on the other. Make sure the preparation temperatures of the different ingredients match.
Tip: Inspiring recipes can also be found in the recipe booklet that comes in the box or you can download it from the support page under "Manuals and documentation".
