Dan is wearing typical clothing for a young adult and is shown –in the scene before – to be in a typical teenage party. He then ends up on top of a car park and doesn’t know how he got there.This is an example of a normal situation with an extraordinary outcome.

Our character can be compared to Scott Pilgrim from the popular film ‘Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World’ Similar to Dan he is your average teenager thrown into an extraordinary circumstance when he starts dating a girl and finds out he has to defeat her seven evil exes. Similar to Dan he has an average dress sense and doesn’t portray any particular stereotype meaning that everyone can relate to the character one way or another.

Tom Daley is an Olympic athlete and similar to Dan he is an average teenager however he has an obvious hobby which is diving and unlike Tom Dan has no hobby or any hobbies or interests which the audience know about. There is little time to get to know Dan’s background however we wanted to through the audience straight into the story line rather than waste time going into Dan’s character in detail.
