““IDEOLOGIES”IDEOLOGIES”

It is a stereotyped view focusing specifically on young students within a small age range however a more residual ideology would be drastically different. I think this because of stereotyping and the picture painted in a person’s head if they were to automatically think of a reader profile.

Despite these two highly differentiating characteristics in reality I think that is in actual fact an emergent ideology occurring due to it not becoming a wider ranged magazine, bringing together both of these audience specifics plus more.

Overall I think an alternative representation is shown due to it being one of very few specific genres who adapts to both men and women, a large age range and backgrounds.

““COMMUNICATION”COMMUNICATION”

I think that in this day and age socio-economic class is having a huge impact on the audience that is drawn in due to it not mattering as much anymore. Different features of the magazine help to communicate this towards the reader to captivate them whilst catering for all reader types and backgrounds. in meeting the readers expectations monthly when it is released it must be up to date with everything it can be. There will be an edition every four weeks due to this corner of music not moving as fast as others and it will be a thick, glossy magazine costing approximately £1.80 as this is quite a reasonable price therefore anybody should be able to afford it whether a University student or a middle class businessman. It offers tips on the cover and inside on saving money and adding value to lifestyle.

““IMAGE”IMAGE”

This would play a large role in both the company's and its reader’s ethos. Make up, clothes, ethnicity and sexual orientation would all be considered throughout the addressing and images shown in ‘FACE the music’. I communicated this via the fonts, photography, props and make up I used. I wanted the front cover shot to not only display the magazine itself but also the personality of the actress features therefore used red lips in a fairly classical & unconventional model to show a statement shot. Whereas in the double page spread authenticity is used again however in a softer manor to show versatility and make the photos really jump out to the reader.
