As my annotations show there are many conventions in my final front cover as well as the professional one.

My piece features a masthead, tagline, main image, cover lines, dateline, lures and many more things that are the same as the professional piece.

As well as this even the idea of a younger country artist on the front cover correlates between the magazines therefore attracting a younger audience than the stereotypically older audience of country music.

On top of this my piece subsequently features conventions, such as pull quotes, that the professional piece does not.

My annotations again show there are many features in my contents page as well as the professional one.

My piece incorporates clear headings and subheadings, a letter to the reader, page numbers, multiple images (that aren’t just people), sections and many more like the professional contents page does too.

Even though the contents page I analysed was a rock one (as I couldn’t find a specific country music one) the conventions still stand and would be the same whatever the music genre.

On top of this my piece subsequently features conventions, such as a website address and clear boxes that link with a picture, in ways that the professional piece does not.

There are many annotations across my DPS as well as the professional piece.

My piece incorporates page numbers, the magazine’s website, a drop capital, clear headings and subheadings, page numbers, multiple images, columns and many more like the professional DPS does as well.

Even the pictures featured across these two pieces are similar – there is the star with their guitar and subsequent images show more of the stars personality (for the professional piece the star with his family and for my final piece the star with a childhood friend).

On top of this my piece subsequently features conventions, such as pull quotes and the number of specifically 3 columns (the standard number within a DPS), in ways that the professional piece does not.

Having already evaluated country music magazines within my research and now comparing them to my final pieces I feel my final product does meet the conventions you would expect to find within a professional magazine.
