Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus invite your participation in our effort to erect a Memorial to the unborn at Calvary Cemetery.

There will be a second collection on April 14/15Sunday Masses for this purpose.

We have been raising funds for this project during the past 6 months, and so far have raised about $4,000 towards a goal of $8,000.

Your assistance in this project is greatly appreciated.

Study Group Continues…

Using the video presentations of Bishop Robert Barron, we can learn more about our faith and reflect on interesting topics related to the Easter season. The study/reflection will last around one hour and will take

place in the TV room (Church’s basement).

Wednesday at 5:30pm (April 18)Saturday at 9am (April 28)

Robert Emmet Barron (born November 19, 1959) is an American prelate of the Catholic Church, author, theologian and evangelist, known for his Word on Fire ministry.

Life and Dignity Sunday Set for

April 14-15th, 2018

Next Sunday has been designated Life and Dignity Sunday for the Diocese of Winona. At the special request of Bishop Quinn, we will be inviting and encouraging all of you to register for the Minnesota Catholic Conference’s Catholic Advocacy Network. Next week, there will be registration cards in the pews and you will be encouraged to fill them out to become a member of the network.

The network is completely free and it is part of the social ministry of the Catholic Church in Minnesota.

The bishops of Minnesota established the Minnesota Catholic Conference (MCC) Catholic Advocacy Network to develop a strong, compassionate, moral voice for life, dignity, and justice in our state. You will find a one‐page description of the network in this week’s bulletin. Please read it, pray about it (and for it), and then register next week at Church. Consider being a part of this important effort to build a diocesan and statewide community of Catholics who stand together as a positive force for good in Minnesota.

CCW BINGO AT SACRED HEART

Queen of Angels CCW will host bingo at Sacred Heart on April 19. I need quick breads to serve on April 5 and bars for April 19. I also need helpers from 1:30 until 3:00 PM each day. If you can help with these requests, please call: Pat Feist at 433-3819. Thank you.

Choosing adoption for your unborn child is a very loving

and mature decision. Even when you know it’s the right choice, support and guidance is helpful. Catholic Charities provides confidential services at no cost, and we facilitate open, semi open, or closed adoptions. You can find a loving home for your baby. Call Catholic Charities at

1- 800-222-5859 or go to www.ccsomn.org for more

information.

The World Day of Prayer for Vocations

It will be observed on Sunday, April 22, also known as "Good Shepherd Sunday." The purpose of this day is to publicly fulfill the Lord's instruction to, "Pray the Lord of the harvest to send

laborers into his harvest" (Mt 9:38; Lk 10:2).

Please pray that young men and women hear and respond generously to the Lord's call to the priesthood, diaconate, religious life, societies of apostolic life, or secular institutes. You can find many resources to promote a culture of vocations on the USCCB Vocations webpage (www.usccb.org/vocations).
