Queen Bee Saves Honey Bee

Honey Bee lived in a hive with hundreds of other bees. She wanted to find a place where she could have space and be free to be alone.

Honey Bee was warned that once she left the hive she would be banished forever but Honey Bee decided to leave anyway.

Old Guard Bee tried to stop her and he had no choice but to take away Honey Bee’s stripes and both of her wings.

Later that day, Queen Bee felt that something was not right.

She said, “Someone is missing.” “Has anyone seen Honey Bee?” , she asked.

After hearing that Honey Bee left the hive, Queen Bee promised to find her Honey Bee so she set off to look for her. Queen Bee flew as fast as she could.

When Honey Bee left the hive she figured she would just find another tree to live in but there were no vacant trees.

She walked and walked until she was too tired.

“I think I should find a place to rest”, she said.

When the sun had set, Honey Bee searched for a place to sleep. It was dark and Honey Bee felt alone and scared.

Finally, Honey Bee came to a dark cave. She could stay here until morning. She began to miss her home and her Queen Bee.

As Queen Bee searched for Honey Bee, she passed by some good butterfly friends.

They said, “We know where you can find your Honey Bee. We saw her pass by today.”

The butterflies agreed to show Queen Bee where to find her missing Honey Bee.

“Thank you”, Queen Bee said. Queen Bee flew as fast as she could.

Then, just as Honey Bee really began to cry, she heard Queen bee’s voice calling for her.

“Honey Bee, are you here?”“I am here!”, Honey Bee

exclaimed.They meet in the darkness.

Honey Bee felt ashamed but she was very happy to see her Queen Bee at last.

Queen Bee stayed with Honey Bee through the night. When morning came, they set off back towards the hive. They were going home.

When Queen Bee returned with Honey Bee, everyone was very happy. Queen Bee decided to give Honey Bee her stripes back but she had to wait to get her wings.

“I will put them away for safe keeping”, she said.

Queen Bee wanted to make sure that Honey Bee could not fly away until she was ready. Honey Bee did not mind. She was going to stay put anyway.
