1 W-1 Effluent Sampling Chamber

On the 14/04/16 and the 2810411 6 the ELV for TDS at W-l was exceeded. The ELV for TDS at W-l is 4000mglL. The results of analysis on samples taken on those days were 424Smg/L ( 14/04) and 4040mg/L (28104). However according to section 4.3.2 (ii) we have complied fully with the conditions of our IPPC licence as neither result was greater than 1 -2 times the stated ELV.

All of the other effluent quality parameters measured at Emission Paint Reference No. W-1 during the second quarter were below the ELV’s detailed in Schedule B.2 of the IPPC Licence

Appendix 1 details the results of analysis of samples from the process effluent line Sampling Chamber, designated W-1. Schedule B.2 of the IPPC Licence details the ELV’s for t l ~ process effluent produced on site.

2 W-l Mass Emissions

Mass emissions at W-1 for the period April to June 20 I6 are detailed in table 1 below.

3 SW-1 Weir Wall Discharge

Appendix 2 details the results of analysis of sampIes from the Weir Wall discharge point to the river Figile, designated SW- I .

There are no ELV’s detailed in the IPPC Licence for emissions to water at this point with the exception of temperature and suspended solids. These are detailed in Schedule B.2 of the IPPC Licence. On the 28/04/16 the ELV for suspended solids was exceeded. The ELV for suspended solids is 35mglL. The results of analysis carried out on the sample taken on the 28/04/16 indicate a suspended solids result of 36mglL. However according to section 4.3.2 (ii) we have complied fully with the conditians of our IPPC licence as neither result was greater than 1.2 times the stated ELV.

4 Biannual Monitoring

River Ana lysis Analysis of the river Figile approximately 30 meters upstream and downstream of the site discharge point was carried out on the 26& of May 20 I6 in accordance with schedule C.6.1 of the IPPC licence. The results of the river water analysis are detailed in Appendix 3. The results in general, are consistent with previous sampIing periods. There was a significant increase in the TDS result obtained both upstream and downstream of the plant.

Purrmflo Analysis A sample was taken from the site's puraflo wastewater treatment system (emission point ref. no.GE- 1 ) on the 24" of dune 2016 in accordance with schedule C.7 of the IPPC licence. The results of the analysis are detailed in Appendix 3. All ofthe effluent quality parameters measured at the puraflo unit are below the ELV's detailed in schedule I35 of the IPPC Licence.

Groundwater Analysis Groundwater analysis was carried out on samples taken from the two monitoring boreholes, GW-I gt GW-2 located on site, on the 26* of May 2016 io accordance with schedule C.6.2 of the IPPC licence. The results of the analysis are detailed in Appendix 3. The results are consistent with previous sampling periods.

5 Complaints

There were no complaints in relation to emissions to water recorded during the second quarter of 20 16.
