REISA is boosting learning and development in young children, by providing much needed educational resources to local Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres.

Donations were handed over to ten local ECD centres in November last year, in time for the 2018 school year. REISA is also supporting ECD practitioners to achieve their NQF Level 4 and 5 training qualifications. This Project is in line with our country’s national Early Childhood Development objectives and is critical in achieving the vision of optimal development of young children in South Africa.

EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENTGETS A BOOST

The donation forms part of REISA’s Early Childhood Development Flagship Project, which has been designed to improve the quality of childcare and education for children under the age of 6.

Parents will also receive a boost through our Parent Support Programme:

Siyawela – Ready to Succeed was appointed in the third quarter of 2017 to implement the second phase of REISA's ECD Flagship Project – Parental Involvement Programme. The official launch of the programme is in February 2018 and is aimed at helping parents support their young children’s education by better understanding their role as a “parent” and boosting their children’s development. 200 parents are targeted to participate in the programme. Keep a lookout for details of the launch, which will be communicated to stakeholders.
