FESTIVAL BADGESAll festival badges let you stroll easily from one performance to another. Take advantage of the Early-Bird All-Event badge discount by ordering before December 31, 2018. Badges can be ordered by phone, by mailing the enclosed order form, or online at JAZZBASHMONTEREY.com. Badges ordered in advance can be picked up along with your free program starting at 10am, Friday March 1, 2019 in the DeAnza Lobby of the Portola Hotel and Spa. A limited number of Day and All-Event Badges will be sold at the door.

PATRON PACKAGESAND PERKSEnjoy Jazz Bash by the Bay as a VIP with a Patron Badge. For a special rate you will receive one Patron Badge, which includes preferred seating (held for Patrons the first 10 minutes of each performance at the venues), your name in the Official Program, and an invitation to our exclusive Patrons’ Party at the Monterey Marriott Hotel.

Family Patron Package includes four All-Event Badges and two Patron Badges.

THURSDAY NIGHT Kick off Jazz Bash by the Bay on Thursday February 28, 2019 with a big band dance party featuring Clicktrax Jazz Orchestra. Attendees will enjoy danceable swing and traditional jazz at the Portola Hotel and Spa from 7:30–11pm. Admission is $25. Also, in a Special One-Night-Only appearance, the hit trio We3 featuring Bob Draga, Jeff Barnhart and Danny Coots will be playing from 7–8:30pm. Admission is $30. Add the dance for $20 more. All tickets can be purchased by phone, mail, online or at the door.Please note: Thursday night events are separate from festival badge purchases

YO UTH PROGRAM Part of our mission is to encourage young musicians to discover traditional jazz and learn more about their musical heritage. Understanding the fundamentals of early jazz provides an excellent foundation for future musical exploration and study. Scholarships are available to enable young musicians to participate in jazz clinics and camps. Each year at Jazz Bash by the Bay attendees are treated to performances by outstanding youth bands. A free early jazz youth clinic is held Saturday morning. High school students and younger students with an adult are admitted free for all three days of the festival.

ROAD SCHOLARSDelve deeper into the history and music of early jazz with instructive presentations. The Road Scholar seminar program, formerly Elderhostel, takes place at Hidden Valley in tranquil Carmel Valley. For more information visit roadscholar.org and see Program Number 7567RJ.
