entertained the participants in the hall. They also made use of two mascots in order to add flavour to their performance. In behalf of Provincial Governor Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor, a keynote speech was delivered by Dr. Hubbert Christopher A. Dolor,

Provincial Administrator of Oriental Mindoro. On his speech, he gave emphasis on the significance of data in terms of how the local government unit (LGU) functions. Computing the Gross National Product (GNP) versus the per capita income versus the per capita expenditures was given as an example. According to him, without having the

right data or statistics, the LGU will never be able to compute where it is on that aspect. He emphasized that it is very important for government employees, especially LGU employees, who are on the field to have the accurate data on the household, population, industries, businesses, and all sectors. He said that this may be raw data but it is very important in coming up with one holistic investment program not only for the LGUs but also for the entire country, and that is where PSA stands. He stated that it is very important that the agency coordinates with other government agencies because somehow, they are also PSA’s source of data. What he means is that, there should be a close coordination, a close networking of all the agencies of the government, not only PSA, but the responsibility lies on everybody. The BJMP also graced to accept the invitation to perform an intermission number during the opening ceremony. Jail Officer I Ann Relano sang a heartfelt rendition of the song “Tagumpay Nating Lahat” by Ms. Lea Salonga.
