Once developed the application will set the foundations for iPod, Palm and MIDP (Nokia, etc) editions of the QTI mPlayer™. The Institute for Working Futures P/L and Intelitec Pacific P/L, owners of the t echnology and underpinning Intellectual Property, have joined with TAFE Tasmania to undertaken a national val idation projec t. Both parties are in the proce ss of securing funds from the Australian National Training Authority (ANTA) New Practices in Flexible Learning Network funding round in 2005. Sponsored by TAFE Tasmania and managed by Working Futures™ this project will examine and document workflows to evidence best practice from the point of assessment tool production or extraction from existing systems, conversion to QTI across multiple formats and approaches, storage, management, delivery, reporting and record keeping whilst maintaining security levels compliant with Privacy Legislation. Intelitec will build the application. The project will have access to the QTI Creator™ tool developed by Working Futures. However, the aim is to ensure any vendors QTI version 2 generator can have their assessments completed in a mobile environment. Field testing in August 2005, will cover 15 industries and multiple users in locations across the nation; and span up to 20 users from TAFE, private RTOs, and major corporations across Tasmania, NSW and WA. On completion the project team will hand over the QTI mPlayer™ for Microsoft ® Windows® mobile™ product and associated copyright to ANTA (i.e. © 2005 ANTA).
