The 26th Annual General Meeting of our Association was held on the 23rd of September 2017 at the “Yarl Function Centre” Pendle Hill. The President Mrs Padma Thangarajah, feelingly, eloquently, and felicitously expressed her appreciation of the support given to her by the Committee and other members during the tenure of her service. The minutes of the previous AGM as circulated was tabled and formally adopted. 5 Resolutions were passed making the following changes in the Constitution:

1) The age limit for membership was brought down to 50 years for both men and women.

2) Permanent residents including those entitled to remain in Australia indefinitely too were made eligible to join as members.

3) The seniors resident in Australia who are not eligible to join as members under the present constitution can join as “Associate Members” who will not have the right to vote or be a member of the Management Committee.

4) The quorum for AGM has been changed from 1/4th to 1/6th or 1/5th if there is a special resolution in the agenda. (Contd…. pg. 2)

The root of suffering is attachment. The trouble is you think you have time.

Love Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they will love you back! Don’t expect love in return; Just wait for it to grow in their heart. But if it doesn’t, be content it grew in yours.
