Introduction:

Communities live in the twentieth century atheist and in light of scientific and

information revolution great. It influenced in all aspects of life. The Internet is

one of the most prominent aspects of the information revolution that contributed

to the shift in various walks of life. The vast amount of websites that exceed 50

million site for evidence of a benefit of this technology and its importance in the

delivery of information, and easily accessible from all over the world.

If using this method - the Internet - in the documentation and dissemination, and

information collection, storage and retrieval is an urgent need, and a prerequisite

to cope with the different era.

In this sense, it seemed a need to take advantage of internet technology in the

educational technology.

This library came to meet the needs of researchers and graduate students, and

educational supervisors, teachers, and all those interested in educational

technology.

The Project Title:

The Instructional Technology electronic Library (ITeL)

The Project Goal:

The mail goal: To help learner especially master and doctor degrees in

instructional technology felid find many research about IT in the e-Library. Also,

help them to know resent research that doing in any part of the world.


The objectives: at the end of this project I aimed to create virtual library

that is able to achieve my big goal through these small objectives:

1. Collect a huge number of resources in on place.

2. Consuming time and effort for students and teachers while searching for

related information.

3. Enlarge the scope of possible and different resources that both teach and

student can use.

4. Help researchers to easily reach the information they need throw easy

navigation.

The Target Audience:

This library came to meet the needs of researchers and graduate students, and

educational supervisors, teachers, and all those interested in educational

technology.

Project Description:

This digital library will be developed in an electronic format on CD by

Greenstone programmed. Greenstone is a suite of software for building and

distributing digitallibrary collections. It provides a new way of organizing

informationand publishing it on the Internet or on CD-ROM. Greenstone is

produced by the New Zealand Digital Library Project at the University

of Waikato, and developed and distributed in cooperation with

UNESCO and the Human Info NGO. It is open-source software,

available from http://greenstone.org under the terms of the GNU

General Public License. This library contains many pages that help learner find

information easy. These sections are as following:

1. Introductory page: it contains the name of library and introduction about

library. Also, it has instruction to get information from it. Furthermore, it

has many buttons to easy navigate such as, search, title, file name, home,

help and preferences.

2. Search page: this page has box to search. User can enter what want to

search and result comes after search.

3. Title page: this page is order the data by title.

4. Filename page: this pages sort the data by type of file if you have many

file.

5. Home pages: The purpose of the home page is to show what collections

are available in this digital library. Clicking on an icon takes the user to

the “about this collection” page for that collection.

6. Help pages: it help learner how go throw this digital library.

7. Preferences page: it allow you to change some features of the interface to

suit your own requirements. You can change language, interface format

and search preferences.

Tools Used:

I used Greenstone which is produced by the New Zealand Digital Library

Project at the University of Waikato, and developed and distributed in

cooperation with UNESCO and the Human Info NGO.

The Project's limitations:

1. Time stress: It's perhaps difficult to fully to do this project in due to time limits.

2. Difficult to use the greenstone software because limit resource.

3. Difficult find resources to fill in the digital library.
