PARAGON PERSPECTIVE

Meet Jose Hilario Mejia L, born September 10, 2011, in Najhe, Mexico. He is our newest addition to the Paragon-sponsored family of World Vision. This sponsorship is the result of a company match to one of our employees in RSM.Jose lives with his parents and two brothers. His parents struggle to provide for the family. His father is a farm laborer. Jose is growing up in a poor community in central Mexico. Typical homes are made of adobe with tile roofs and have only one room. Beans, corn tortillas and sometimes chicken or beef are staples of the local diet. Jose likes to play with toy cars and helps at home by being good. He is in satisfactory health. Paragon’s sponsorship commitment will help provide Jose and his community with

school supplies, immunizations against childhood illnesses, health checkups, dental exams, access to clean water and improved nutrition. In addition, our support provides agricultural training so parents can raise the standard of living for their children. Finally, through Christian witness, these precious families will have the chance to know the love and grace of God; and most of all, to know there is a company in the U.S. whose employees love and support little Jose.

Everyone had a great time at the game!

In August, more than a dozen Dallas employees, their friends and family attended a Frisco RoughRiders game. Although the RoughRiders lost, a great time was had by everyone who attended.

Her bags are packed and she left the Paragon Dublin office in September faster than Usain Bolt!Baby Larkin is due to make his/her first public appearance on October 15. The team in Dublin, never a bunch to miss out on an opportunity for a contest, have already started up a “guess the arrival date fund” revealing that one or two of us have hidden gambling tendencies! We threw a small baby shower for Tommie at lunch time. We ordered some lovely hot curry with the secret intention

of inducing early delivery. We’ve had plenty of Dublin Paragon babies but it would have been one for the record books to have one delivered on-site!The team and Tommie all had a ball and there were plenty of name suggestions and tales from the labor ward to be heard. Everyone who’s had the chance to work with Tommie over the last five years at Paragon are over the moon for her and her husband Barry. Best of luck to the both of them.

CambridgeBy Jacqueline Walker and Julie Pratt

The name Cambridge brings instant images to the mind’s eye: the breathtaking view of the King’s College Chapel, Christmas Eve service of Nine Lessons and Carols and thousands of students cycling frantically to their lectures. But Cambridge is more than the sum of its images. It manages to combine happily its role as a historic city with a world famous university, a regional center and more recently, as the internationally renowned hub of technological, scientific and commercial excellence. It is impossible, of course, to separate ancient city from ancient university for the two are now inextricably intertwined and they are more at ease with each other than at any time in the past 800 years. Jacqueline has lived in Cambridge for six years and studied for her business management degree at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. Julie also worked in Cambridge for many years. She moved to the United Kingdom twenty years ago and now lives just outside of Peterborough. Julie and her husband Nigel met with Jacqueline and her husband Clive for lunch in one of the oldest pubs in Cambridge called The Eagle which is situated near King’s College and was opened in 1667.
