1 keeping my mind active by volunteering talking or visiting friends daily. making time for me and doing what i would likeat least once a week.

11/10/2015 12:45 PM

2 Information Timely access to services Well trained compotent motivated informed staff opportunities to remain healthyactive and independent being treated with respect and staff being interested in you

11/9/2015 1:19 PM

3 It was a really good starting point and should have gven everyone a basis for the discussions that followed - butParticipants seemed to interpret this more widely and not what actually really mattered to them - many found thisdifficult to contribute to effectively as others in group would appear to disagree and give counter argument but don'tthink that was the purpose as shouldn't feel that what mattered to you is wrong in any way. I don't think it was aboutgetting the perfect care givers impression of what matters to people - just to think if it was you. I therefore became a bitfrustrated by the outcome and d isengaged slightly.

11/6/2015 8:17 PM

4 openness between patient and staff. telling the story once. knowing where to go and if the wrong person/departmentbeing directed politely and considerately.

11/6/2015 12:55 PM

5 There is too much conflicting information about the food and drink I should take. Labelling is not clear enough on foodand drink. I think my present lifestyle is right for me at the age of 75. It is important that I have a balanced diet, takedaily exercise by walking 3 miles a day with my husband and dog, go to dog obedience and agility, garden and dovolunteer work in the community and with the NHS. Living in the country we have an independent lifestyle and I wantthis to last as long as possible.

10/30/2015 12:12 AM

6 being involved with others in my circle of friends and community having the ability to make choices about what I wantto do to be active and independent Information to help me make these choices access to pleasant places to spend myleisure time e.g. to walk or cycle company to give me confidence when trying something new

10/26/2015 5:35 PM

7 Prompt access to the right service. Easy access to evidenced based information and not having to go "round thehouses looking for it". For AHPs build on the good work already being done and not having to start again due tounecessary politics.

10/26/2015 3:29 PM

8 Easier access to facilities for health and physical fitness 10/25/2015 9:27 PM

9 Family Supportive community with opportunities Work / life balance 10/22/2015 2:54 PM

11 Access to advice and services local and one stop. healthy environment and activities locally 10/21/2015 5:42 PM

12 To take responsibility for my own health - as AHPs we are aware of the importance of diet, exercise work/life balance.Ifhowever an issue arises to have access to good quality advice or specialist services if needed.

10/21/2015 3:44 PM

13 Having the knowledge and opportunity to be proactive in managing my own health. Having a good work-life balance,Having access to healthcare when needed.

10/21/2015 2:38 PM

14 Family, friends and social life very much keep me healthier so time and ability to appreciate these people and offercare and support for them when able. Very much "family friendly policy" in NHS is geared towards parents of childrenor young people not general families as the title suggests - this needs to be reviewed because the pressure placed onpeople who do not/cannot have children to cover for the gaps that such policies leave in the service provision is neverhigh on the priority list or appreciated.

10/19/2015 11:36 AM

Q12 Thinking of what AHPs could do inHealth and Social Care in the future;Whatshould we focus on to make services the

best they can be?Answered: 16 Skipped: 7

# Responses Date

1 Ensure that loneliness is one of the aspects that are looked at in the Social Care. engaging in dialogue with the thirdsector to help combat this. Doctor and district nurses etc. are made aware of the ways to help direct people. Givingconfidence to people to pick up on this and not hide away in their homes alone.

11/10/2015 12:45 PM

2 Ensure services are fit for purpose and designed and developed to support our local community needs Value of AHPscaptured and recognised Ensure staff have access and time to reflect on their knowledge and skills and the opportunityto access support including education and training to fulfill their identified needs. Ensure we listen to the needs of ourlocal community

11/9/2015 1:19 PM

3 Unfortunately had to leave at this point 11/6/2015 8:17 PM

4 work along with local authority colleges with respect and no boundary limitations or brakes in services. 11/6/2015 12:55 PM

5 There needs to be sufficient staff to meet the vision of the Health and Social Care Strategy. Focus on continuity ofcare for people who live in their own home and allow time for staff to build up relationships with those needing care. Atpresent 4 different people appearing during the day to give care is not acceptable. The needs of the patient/carershould be at the centre of all the decisions made. There needs to be joined up services and communication betweenstaff and with the service user is paramount.

10/30/2015 12:12 AM

6 providing information in a variety of ways to suit different people's styles and literacy levels. this will truly supportpeople to be involved and to make informed choices making good links locally with all agencies who can support ourservice users develop multi agency integrated pathways learning how to ask the right questions to really hear whatmatters to people rather than just doig what we have always done

10/26/2015 5:35 PM

7 The resources es we have to work with are they enough? 10/26/2015 3:29 PM

8 Better face to face co-ordination between professions 10/25/2015 9:27 PM

9 Integration Outcome measures - make sure we are being effective. Services fully accessible to service users 10/22/2015 2:54 PM

10 More physio at home following up on discharge from hospital and if cared for in own home avoiding admission beingassessed Similarly with OT Prompt access to life enhancing equipment General quality of life opportunities beingoffered such as social contact, exercise ,artistic and spiritual experience to be Possible

10/22/2015 2:19 PM

11 speedy access to service when needed and clear signposting to more appropriate service or resource if AHP input notrequired

10/21/2015 5:42 PM

12 Education for carers /3rd sector as often they are on the 'front line' and their skill is valuable at preventing a crisis. Alsodeveloping pathways for sel-referral.

10/21/2015 3:44 PM

13 We should improve others' understanding of our role. We should find new ways of reaching out to hard to engagegroups.

10/21/2015 2:38 PM

14 Ensure the public expectation of our services are accurate and realistic - people still arrive in acute hospital with asuitcase expecting to stay longer term than should be required, families still rennovate houses, decorate and makeenvironments unhabitablewhlst elderly relatives are in hospital which provides challenges for discharge, people stillhave relatives admitted to hospital and go on holiday without leaving keys which prevents discharges. Also theexpectation of the services and response times of community based services should be publicised so this does nocome as a shock and this would avoid complaints. Be more honest with the publice/service users about what we canprovide and what we cannot provide. Ensure all AHPs are acknowledged whether the are in acute or community careenvironments. Ensure all AHPs work from a similar prioritisation category to avoid professional assessments beingquestionned. Ensure an even distribution of funding betwen community and acute.

10/19/2015 11:36 AM

15 Having better communication between services, in order to cut out the middleman (i.e the G.P) which will lead to moretimely referrals. Giving more resources to the services that need them.

10/19/2015 8:46 AM

16 One stop shop for referrals People being allowed to work to their competencies eg physio being allowed to orderXrays, podiatrists to prescribe dressings, only one OT assesment req-not SW OT and hosp OT

Q13 Thinking of what AHPs could do inHealth and Social Care in the future; What

should we do first?Answered: 14 Skipped: 9

# Responses Date

1 Ensure all staff engaged on the front line are properly trained and are paid accordingly. More rigorously checking ofcontract personal. Making sure companies are fulfilling contracts.

11/10/2015 12:45 PM

2 Review and celebrate what we do well, then identify the gaps and work in collobration with all identified stakeholdersto move forward to provide services fit for purpose for the local community in which we serve. Avoid re-inventing thewheel and duplicating effort. Respect the knowledge and skills of others (including patients).

11/9/2015 1:19 PM

3 make good links with counter parts which are seamless. 11/6/2015 12:55 PM

4 Make sure that communication improves. Make sure that the service user's needs come first. Make sure that theservice user understands what is planned for their journey from the beginning and through the health and social careservices.

10/30/2015 12:12 AM

5 improve communications systems across partner agencies ensure access for relevant staff to learning aboutpromoting self management talk to each other!

10/26/2015 5:35 PM

6 Review present conditions before deciding on change 10/25/2015 9:27 PM

7 Clear pathways and sign posting. Direct access National sharing of good practice 10/22/2015 2:54 PM

8 Give those involved time to plan Link up their access to each other Give them time to listen to needs of patients and ifpossible act on them and to at least feedback

10/22/2015 2:19 PM

9 Improve access, especially in the community, service configured around hospitals and discharge imperative, notprevention and maintenance of independence.

10/21/2015 5:42 PM

10 Make sure that the services provided in the local community are advertised well and that AHPs have a list to signpostpeople to.

10/21/2015 3:44 PM

11 Make a commitment to protect existing services. Look at ways of working with other agencies, while preserving ourunique role (and unique skill-set).

10/21/2015 2:38 PM

12 Raise public awareness re expectation of our services and what our roles actually are. Communicate better with eachother across services/care groups.

10/19/2015 11:36 AM

13 Allow direct referrals from one AHP to another. Reduce any overlap in skills e.g allowing physiotherapists in thecommunity to access social work and the ordering of equipment.

10/19/2015 8:46 AM

14 both of the above in tandem 10/16/2015 5:50 PM

1 Communication has been the bane of the NHS for someti.me good luck trying to sort out all the different computerprograms! Advertise the successes in Dr's surgeries etc. They nearly all have some kind of television in surgeries. letsuse them

11/10/2015 12:51 PM

2 Focus on a few S.M.A.R.T. goals 11/6/2015 8:41 PM

3 don't know 11/6/2015 1:01 PM

4 Not sure if public need to be aware of this. To encourage active and independent living can be done through leaving itto local groups being formed and targetted by AILIP. Better that peers encourage the improvement of health than anational body telling the public. Knowing what AHP stands for and the professions it covers needs to be better known.

10 It feels a bit dry at the moment - find new ways of making it seem relevant/accessible/interesting. Small scale events, case studies and freebies (nice pens, post-its etc) all seem to get people more interested!

10/21/2015 2:40 PM

11 the event has highlighted where to find information 10/19/2015 1:48 PM

12 Publicity - sharing more knowledge that is not necessarily based around the assumption we all use technologyregularly and effectively. Be proactive not reactive

10/19/2015 11:38 AM

13 Inform AHPs that the above methods of communication are available. 10/19/2015 8:49 AM

8 Opportunities to meet and share concerns and again good practice 10/22/2015 2:21 PM

9 Keep the dialogue going with the networks that attended the event. 10/21/2015 5:43 PM

10 Having a person who keeps all the information updated. 10/21/2015 3:51 PM

11 As before. We have a lot of different initiatives, programmes etc going on. Need to give a clear message about whythis matters, what difference it can make etc.

10/21/2015 2:40 PM

12 we need to be more informed locally and maybe we need a group of staff to take this forward 10/19/2015 1:48 PM

13 Be proactive not reactive. Share information more effectively and not always using technology, verbal sharing ofcommunication, one of the oldest but most valued methods of communication

10/19/2015 11:38 AM

14 Generally keep AHP better informed of all the pilots and services that are available to our patients. If we don't knowabout them then we can't use them.

1 Unfortunately I did miss the last session, but have had feedback re this. I would benefit from further motivation toprogress.

2 very informative 11/6/2015 1:08 PM

3 Seemed to be poorly coordinated at our venue and in pre info sent to us 10/22/2015 2:52 PM

4 Useful to have all stakeholders invited to meaningful dialogue with those delivering services 10/22/2015 2:23 PM

5 enthusiastic and empowering group of professionals that need better used. 10/21/2015 5:44 PM

6 more events like this needed but would be good to have people presenting from national team that understand theAILIP Not organised well locally

10/19/2015 1:49 PM

7 I feel this event was a slightly more formal version of similar events held over the past 10 years. I watch this spacewith anticipation.

10/19/2015 11:40 AM

8 Just another redesign to add to the long list of things that we already have to worry about. I really don't care what youcall it (AILIP or national delivery plan) just give me the resources I need to do my job to the best of my ability.
